  1. I found a guy that has two Seadoo's with broken hulls... he said they both ran but have been in the "junk" pile for a couple of years... he is thinking about what he wants for them, then I will counter.... I have no idea how big the motors are, but I was thinking about that I will get them and put one in a Jon type boat for the weedy areas.... what do you think? will it work?
  2. I'm in the Aviation Brigade up here in the great white north... and, thaks guys, I passed on that boat... I did trade duty for a 12' Sears Jon boat.... wow did they use thin aluminum! But haey, it'll get me on the water!
  3. I was just given and old Sears Jon boat. The seats are broken away from the hull, the transome is rotted the bottom is dented and it leaks... the question is... what do I use to seal the bottom? it has a lot of small leaks... will the fiberglass resin stick? then what can I do to paint it? it is just the unpainted aluminum... very thin stuff. I will make new ply wood seats and glass them in, but again, will the glass stick? I have never used it with aluminum. thanks for you guys help...
  4. no, no...that would be Bass-turd... when I was a kid, I had a boat named "this end up" with little arrows....
  5. Hey I'm new here, and I have a question... I guy I work with, says he has a 12' Jon he will give me. He said that the guy bwfore him had split it down the center, bolted a plywood runned all the way up the center (too widen it) and glassed the bottom... he says that it doesn't leak, but is really ugly. he said it had a full flat deck on it when he got it, but that wood was rotted so he took it off. Now, the question... the boat is free, but is it worth the $30 in gas it will take me to go get it? What do you think? can I make the thing work on a slow river?
