  1. Cuss words or "i got robbed" My grandpa cracks me up though.. he either says "cotton-pickin!" or "jiminy-crickets!" Not really sure what that even means..
  2. I lost mine last week on a rope hanging from a dock. Was fishing from the bank and the dock has a gate with a lock to access it so I couldn't get it.. too cold to jump in.
  3. I've never really thought about bass attacking the same bait like that. I know when we go offshore to fish for Mahi, when you get into a school and hook one you leave it in the water b/c it attracts the school.
  4. It's not specifically bass fishing, but I used to love The Spanish Fly. Jose just seemed so genuine and acted like he wasn't putting on a show at all. I've still got a lot of them on my DVR.
  5. I would probably try Acworth Beach, technically it's lake Acworth, but if you go there that's right where Allatoona and Acworth are connected by a spillway so really you could fish both lakes. I'm pretty sure there is a couple of docks here as well. It's supposed to be pretty warm on Saturday so the spots should be moving up towards the banks which will be good for you. I've only been trolling for crappie lately since its been so cold, but supposedly jerk baits, crank baits, and A-Rigs have been doing the trick now that it has warmed up. Good luck! http://www.allatoonalake.org/parks/acworth_beach.html
  6. Lake Allatoona isn't far from you. Right now is actually a really good time to fish it, not so much in the hotter months.
  7. Try baking soda or toothpaste, works on headlights that get foggy.
  8. The only time I do it is on certain trout rivers where you have to use barbless hooks.
  9. Yea that lure caught me a lot of fish. I caught the catfish off the dock with 8lb line, knew it was too big so I gave my rod to my brother while I ran to get the net.. he tried to pull the fish out of the water for some reason and the line snapped... lure gone.
  10. I fish mainly on Lake Martin in Alabama. Theres a lot of "sun fish" is what we call em, basically bream with an orange belly and orange gills. I caught a catfish with a perch colored x-rap last year, that was definitely a first.
  11. Anything with an orange belly seems to do better where I fish.
  12. Before I started purchasing my own tackle I lost a good bit of my grandpa's Rapalas. He used to tell me I needed a hunting license not a fishing license since I spent so much time in the trees. Nowadays, I do whatever I can to get the lure back. Lost a $30 umbrella rig a couple weeks ago, that hurt.
