Very cool thanks for the info! So I assume you have to order over the phone.

Oh ok wonder why they can't advertise it. That may change the game a bit if I could get an imx at a discount.

Isn't TW Memorial Day sale supposed to be going on now?
Well I switched to powell rods last year and so far they are always on sale everytime tw does a sale, but man I feel sorry for the daiwa and shimano guys tw never has those on sale but I think it's a manufacturer thing.

Feel like I missed the spawn
I feel your pain, when it's not ridiculous cold it's raining and the water is chocolate soup. I haven't had a decent day on the water in about 2 months.

Tell me about the BPS Stick-O
Very true, plus I've found in my experience that is it worth it to spend that extra money on high quality hardbaits that will last me alot longer.

Tell me about the BPS Stick-O
I'd have to give a nod to the sticko. I don't have anything bad to say about them, for the price they are hard to pass up. I just cant bring myself to spend almost $8 on a bag of yamamotos and this coming from a guy who has no problems spending $25 on megabass jerkbaits. My favorite color is the June bug with a close second being sprayed grass. I usually get about 2-3 fish out of a single sticko.

Lews fans
I have 2 pro g's and absolutely love them! The acb brake system is so easy to use I wish all my others Lews had it. One of my pro g's is on my senko rod and let me tell you it will cast a weightless senko a mile!

how to ship a rod
True fact, everytime I ship a rod no matter how far or how close it's always a minimum of $35. And even though I've shipped 3 rods in the past 3 months from the same post office the lady at the counter always says "I think that's too long to ship" and I have to explain to her that's it's not, it's a freakin hassle.

BPS 1986 Christmas catalog.
Do you ever remember getting the hardback master catalogs. I can still remember my teacher confiscating them for looking at them in class.

BPS 1986 Christmas catalog.
I love it!! Keep the pics coming!! I wonder if bps still has back catalogs.

Crankbait rod decision
I generally throw all my squarebills and traps on a medium fast rod with 12 lbs flouro. The faster action is great for ripping squares and traps through grass and cover.

Problem with braid and spinning reel... what's happening?
Yes I made the cuts with a Bridgeport mill, it was alot easier than I originally thought. Lightened up the spool arbor quite a bit which is nice because it's a very bulky reel. Start to finish it took me about 2 months to fully restore it, it was a rusted pitted mess when I bought it

Very sweet penn! I too love vintage penn reels! Here's a project I just completed a few months ago, it's not 100% original though I modified it slightly.

Which Dobyns Champion for Pitching Plastics
I want a champion bad I have almost talked myself into buying one. I'm looking for a dedicated senko rod and think a champion would work out great for that.
- Best jig rod and reel

First flipping and pitching combo
Right now I'm flipping with a 7'3" heavy fast TFO tactical and a lews tourney pro g in the 8.3:1 ratio. Ive found that this is a very lightweight and sensitive combo, I feel like I could flip all day with it.

Best jig rod and reel
If your looking for a great reel I would suggest a lews tournament mb, they can be had for a little over $100 right now over on the bay and your getting something that performs closer to a $200 reel. As for rods my 2 main jig and t-rig rods right now are a duckett micro magic pro and a tfo tactical both in medium heavy. Those 2 rods I feel are super sensitive and fish more like a $200 rod. The "best" rod is very subjective and you will hear many different brands by many different people. Best advice would be to go handle a few different rods. That will put you right around the $250 mark, if your dead set on only spending $200 on a combo then a duckett ghost maybe your ticket, its a great value and reliable rod for $100.

TProG Brakes
I love the new braking system on the higher end lews, Ive got 2 pro g's and a team lite and I wish my tourney mg's had this system.

New Curado 70
I'm very tempted to scoop one up, it would be perfect on my senko setup.

What Lews Baitcaster for Texas Rigs
Crazy good deals on eBay for lews reels right now, if I was gonna suggest one for someone who's not a huge baitcaster fan or looking for an affordable reliable reel I'd suggest the lews tournament mb. It's a dream to cast, lightweight, and built like an absolute tank, plus in my opinion it is one of the most comfortable reels to palm and fish all day. I would also suggest you get one in the 6.8:1 ratio, perfect all purpose ratio for t-rigs and moving baits.

New Caenan vs Speed Spool LFS
Or just add $10 and pick up a new tournament mb on eBay (best route in my opinion). I'm not knocking the Lfs it's a great reel but for just a bit more the mb is a no brainer. Pick one up and I guarantee u will not be disappointed.

Revo S/SX vs Lews Tournament MB
My vote would be for the lews, I own an mb and its one of my go to reels. It has a bulletproof brake system which is super easy to dial in and is an absolute workhorse. It palms very nice too.

Brand loyalty (reels)
Lews lews lews. I've owned several other brands but keep coming back to lews, I eventually sold all my other reels and now exclusively own and fish lews reels.
