  4. a bad day fishing is better than a good day of work. (my motto)
  5. "When the cows are laying down, fishing is better." Why: cows have the instinct to predict a storm. (just like dogs, cats, ext.) cows have the instinct to lie down before and during the storm for selter. fish bite better right before a storm. so, chances are, if you see a bunch of cows laying down for no reason, and it is a little cloudy, the fish probaly are bite'n. anyone else have some ol' words of wisdom?

  12. a bass fisher that won't let weather, lack of tackle and lack of lakes stop him.
  13. Thanks, hydrillagorilla2. Yeah, I know the old saying well: "There are no stupid questions, just stupid people who ask questions." So call me stupid--how long do you guys wait before changing lures if you're not getting bites? well, if i'm fishing a sertain area, i make sure i cover all the water well with a lure before swicthing it. (aka cast about everywhere) then i switch to a lure simular to the first, and cover the area with that. (like a lure that runs at the same depth, with the same action, but with different color/rattle/ext.) if nether of the lures gets a bite, it means: A. im not fishing it right. B. The fish arn't in the mood for this lure type. C. their are no fish that will take the lure. regardless the reason, i then switch to a diferent lure type. (a deeper diver, a shallow diver, plastics, spinnerbait, ext) and repeat. sooner or later, if there are fish big enough, and your fishing the lure correctly, you will get a hit.
  14. i like to fish 6" powerbait w/ splitshot. it works great.

  19. Glen, you should make a patch, so i can sew it on my camo hat!
  20. and i have seen him use the seccond lure (we fish together) and it has a really smooth wobble to it.
  21. when i use 5" senkos in open water, i texas or open hook rig them in the middle. then i cast them out and wait intill they hit bottem. once that happens, i reel a little bit and jerk up, (so they are about half way to the surface) then wait for it to hit bottem, then repeat. most of the fish slurp it up on the drop, so watch out for weight on the end of your line when you start the reel/jerk part.
  22. sweet. those are sure weopons of bass destruction.
