  1. Backing is when you fill about half of your spool with cheap mono then attach the mono to your fluro with a uni to uni or any other knot you like that way you can spool more reels with a spool of fluro, braid etc..the bottom half of your line on your spool never even get wet or used so thats another reason, you dont waste it. Couple things, fluro typicaly does not work well on spinning gear and 12lb test is too heavy for spinning gear IMO. The biggest i will use is 10lb test and thats very very rare i like 6-8lb test mono or 20lb test fireline(8lb diameter) for some situations.. you can still use your fluro on what you have but if your hearts set on using fluro on it the least i would do is go exchange it for lighter lb test as it will be a bit more managable..
  2. The old original thin fins are great hunters, to me the new ones arent as good...
  3. Ive seen bass spawning in the summer a few times, and just a few fish.
  4. X2 just a hook and whatever your wacky rigging.. oh and yes they work, very well...
  5. Its not a UC,did you see the pics i posted?
  6. Do you mean you picked your 7 favorite lures and put 2 of each in your box and each lure has its own rod?
  7. Swing jigs or wobble heads as i call em are awesome,i fish them like the above guys said cranking it. I never tx rig anymore andvwhere i would before i now tx rig a plastic on a wobble head and fish it lime that. They work great with paddletails, makes them roll side to side, much better action..i throw them anywhere and hardly ever hang up..
  8. Used what?? I know gambler lures but is there a bait called "why not"?
  9. Favorite is lipless/any jig type Least fovorite(if theres such a thing) would probably be throwing deep cranks, only because its some work lol!
  10. Reel foot # gets nothing on their site and no listing for ONE 5000 ANYWHERE....ive emailed them but never get replys... tried at least 50 times in the past.. i can figure out wich parts r compatible as i have a ton of rounds i collect but having a schematic would be soooo much easier..
  11. I have a skeet reese spinnerbait/ worm rod 7' med-fast and i can throw spinnerbaits, plastics, square bills and some topwaters. Just nothing over 3/4oz.. most versatile rod i have...close to 100 retail
  12. Yeah for a few years all i carry is 4 boxes and a bag i have enough tackle to fill a semi and dont use alot of it..since doing so i havent caught less fish if anything probably more with all the wasted time looking for a bait to throw... every time i go out i take a couple baits ive never used and if they catch me fish they get to stay and if not, its back in the garage with the rest.. plus i have waaaay more room in the boat now haha
  13. ABU ONE 5000's. Got two brand new without any box or papers off cl for 50 bucks. Anyone seen these before? Im a abu nut but have never seen these. No info on mikes or abu's site.. want a schematic, it looks like a c3,5000,6000 etc.. but i need part numbers to see if i can perk them up...
  14. If it was not in the sun the line should be fine...
  15. Every bait i take i have confidence that i can catch fish on any lake with... i learned my lesson taking as much as possible...start throwing something new then 3 casts later and changing again... i go with "keep it simple stupid" and it works for me...
  16. If you were gonna fish an 8 hr tournament and you didnt know how you were fish it whats the least amount of say 3700 utility boxes of lures and say small duffle bags of plastics you would take? For me i could make 4 work, 1 with terminal tackle and trailers, skirts, rattles etc.. 1 for spinner/buzzbaits 1 for cranks and topwaters and 1 for jigs, chatters, and some odds and ends.. and one small bag or about i plastic grocery bag full of plastics... thats what i would and have used. I dont want alot of stuff to choose from as it makes me think less and not keep second guessing... everything in those four boxes i know will catch fish for me.. idk k.i.s.s
  17. The rahe blades are almost snagless for me...
  18. Correct...wife haha
  19. 4 in about 10 mins then the warden made me go back up to the party..haha
  20. I catch them that deep here with them wich i consider deep also..
  21. Looks like a bad batch..never seen anything like that. Kinda cool...
  22. I never said it made it right, as for doing it in a boat or anywhere else besides the peir i mentioned i think its ridiculous to land a fish that way or any other way besides reaching down and landing it with your hands.. and i know when i do it if it breakss i know its my fault... misunderstood me or something..
  23. What do you consider deep? I beleive the chatterrbait is a bit more versatile. Ive also caught some big fish with them...
