  1. Get the weedless. I cant imagine not with all the wood I fish around. My only complaint is the small hooks WILL break off if you dig one into a log deep enough tho.
  2. Thanks guys! Gonna go with 2. I ain't rowing nowhere lol.
  3. Well I tried it today for the first time and knocked their lights out. Even crappie. Not that I was looking for a crappie but they got in on it also. I'm in on the ned!
  4. Will one deep cycle 12v battery like the interstate SRM-27 run a 55 lb bow mount most of the day (6-8 hours) on a 14 foot aluminum Jon? Would love to be able to do just one for weight purposes. Starting this build soon. Thanks in advance for the replies guys!
  5. Hey guys. Going in a new job boat build. Will have 3 batteries in the back. Would love to do an onboard charger to save hassle. Not up to date on those bank chargers. So would I need a 3 bank? Boat will have 2 minn kota 55's on the back and a minnkota 45 foot controlled on bow. Lake is 200 acres electric only btw hence all the trolling motors lol. Thanks!
  6. S&H outdoors in mussel shoals Alabama. Unheard of prices. He is having a sale on plastics today and tomorrow. Look up Shannon Lidley on facebook. And no ive never met him or affiliated with them in any way. I did just buy a duckett micro magic for $99 new from them tho. Good Stuff.
  7. wow. Thats crazy. I just looked at all of the screen shots that you posted. Nuts! So Wayne would you suggest a "pond model"?
  8. My pond boat is plastic. 12 foot but man o man, will she get down deep in a cove in a foot of water. Bad thing is all of the ponds are 8 to 12 feet deep and one is 18 but thats rare. Most areas are realistically 5-6 so at that depth the cone will be very small. Would structure scan be a waste? Like maybe a $400 hook model?
  9. I most times have a game plan but if it does not go as planned, sometimes I abandon it because I feel that I am wasting time and not on the fish. One thing that I hate is steep banks. the lure hits the bank and the next tug, the line is practically back at the boat. Last week, I ran up on a 100 yard stretch of steep bank as I was on my way to the Rip Rap at the dam. Well, I skipped the whole banked area only to find out on the topo that it had a creek channel with huge bends in it with a nice drop off. Ill remember that next trip.

  11. Its called getting skunked. I have been there. Man I have been there. But really, there is a possibility that there are no fish in it. Have you caught fish there before? Keep Diggin!
  12. Update. Nice place. It's not the Dead Sea but the bass were really finicky today. Being electric motor only you better have 2 batteries because it's about 2.5 miles long. I ended up catching 3 and missing 3 and one of the misses equaled my biggest catch of 3 pounds. Water was stained but clear down to about 18". Only $5 to fish and it's new. Lots of kayakers and about only 10 other bass fishermen on boats. Wasn't crowded at all. Here's a pic of the 3. Overall, I'll go back.
  13. Heading out in the morn. Doesn't open till 8 so no buzzbait predawn action. Has anyone been? I've heard some good and bad stories. It's only 5 years old, 140 acres but it's all I got. We got mega farm ponds but no big places here.
  14. Yep. Per my topic. I knew that. Thanks for looking it up tho!
  15. The Length tells me that she, while healthy, is still not getting what she needs. I think that fish, if fat as she should be would be 11. Then again, Im not one that knows it all but I fish one pond that is very unhealthy and the 15 inchers are a pound and a half. Look like skeletons. They have the age but not the size. Under nourished.
  16. I contacted the one of 3 dealers in my state. She said the 14/52 was not available but the website says it is. I need a max of 14 because of a small 140 lake I fish has a length restriction. 14 is the max.
  17. Not sure if they even make this boat at all anymore tho it's offered on the site. Anyone know of another company offering a 14x52? thanks
  18. That's true with all boats lol
  19. My PB on 08/24/2015 was after a 2 day rainstorm and my family was out of town and I had nothing to do. I pulled up and almost left but I was bored so I let it rip. She was under a laydown in 6 feet of water. My sinker hit the laydown and I saw her come up to investigate. I threw in once more and she killed it. I was fishing a black Zoom trick worm with black sinker and 30 pound braid. 8 pounds. Ill fish mud anytime!
  20. Hes the first person I thought of when I read the topic. Not dogging by anymeans but he use to be better. I watched one last night on how he had "so many requests" to do a boat walkround. Im like right. And he has his lowrance finders taped up becuase he "didnt have a deal" with them and then apologized because it was a business. Common sellout. Would I do it? probably. Fish all day everyday? yea, probably.
  21. Being that he is not a member here I'll post without his permission but I'll remove his head lol. I caught a 8 pounder in August of 15 and it was 26" so I'll say this one is 8.5 or 9. She's too slim for 10.
