Finally Happened......
I myself buried a treble hook straight into my index finger all the way to the crook in the treble. I was by myself bank fishing close to the house. I thought for a minute or two about going to the er, decided I would try pulling it out myself. I couldn't turn the hook and poke it back through to crimp the barb because of the angle it entered my finger. So I grabbed my pliers and decided to just pull it out, by the way I dont think I would do it again. I pulled it out on the 5th pull with all my might, came a hair of passing out from the pain. I wouldn't advise doing it yourself. But I didnt want to spend 3 hours in the er when the fish were biting, so I went home put some alcohol on it and bandaged it up and went right back to fishing. Since then my wife was kind enough to buy me some rapala gloves for Christmas. They are a life saver.

Major League Bass Fishing
I agree with Darren, I like the fact they have to use their hands to land the fish. Cant cradle it against your body or it is a 2 minute penalty. It is the most exciting format that I have seen in a fishing show. Its also cool how they show how each winner fished and what they used and how they used them. That is usually a 1 hour show in itself. I dont have the opportunity to fish tournaments but if I did I would love this format, pays off to catch quantities as well as quality.

Help Fishing In A Small Pond
I have a pond in my neighborhood that is similar. I know you get snagged on a crankbait but if you try the strike king 1.0 small square bill only runs 2-3 foot deep you should be able to catch a few. Doesnt happen every time out for me, but when they do bite I catch 5 or 6 in a two hour time period. Give it a shot. Also try throwing a sexy dawg jr, or zara spook, if you know how to walk them they are effective.

Pitching And Flippin
I will surely have to do a lot of practice. Looks like the patio chairs will be my best friend in the months to come learning how to pitch from a sitting position. Thank you guys for helping out the newbie.

Pitching And Flippin
I have a 10 foot basshound. And I could stand up in it but it isnt real stable with 2 people in it. I usually fish with my old man and he loves to cross them eyes and I could see myself in the water. LOL. You can stand in it for brief periods of time.

Pitching And Flippin
Hello I am new member and I have a question. Sorry if this happens to repeat something that has been discussed in the past. I have a little 10 foot boat that not really able to stand up in and fish. My question is I havent really pitched or flipped but interested in learning, is there any suggestions on ways to learn this from a seated position. Everything I have read talks about pitching or flipping from a standing position. Any help that could be given would be greatly appreciated.

Plano Box For Spinners & Buzzbaits
I have the plano 3650 tackle bag from Sportsman's warehouse. It comes with boxes that are adjustable. I have several buzzbaits in my box. You can adjust the sizes of the compartments to what suits you. Hope this helps and good luck fellow Kentuckian.
