how many canoe fishers out there
I fish mainly out of a canoe and am curious how many other canoe fishermen are out there on this forum. Any of you put any electronics or trolling motors off the side? Ive been looking at some of the motor mounts and some clamp on fish finders myself.

Quality Polarized Sunglasses
I have heard the cheaper sunglasses can be detrimental to your vision if you wear them a lot. That may just be a myth though. Good question for my optomitrist on my next visit. Ill post his response in a couple weeks.

St Croix vs G loomis
Hmm i may need to wait until the bass pro shop opens near me so i can try a few out with my reel and some lures as RW suggested. Ill hook up my sister's pomeranian to get a feel for the power. BPS stores will let you try out their stuff right?

St Croix vs G loomis
Well the st croix i bought last year was my really my first purchase of a rod with any sensitivity. I used to fish exclusively with a broomstick. I like the st croix and i have the money now to spend on a g-loomis. I fish mostly out of a canoe and can really only bring 3 rods out at a time. I have noticed that the SC rod i have doesnt have the muscle to move the bigger fish too fast. I want the sensitivity of the loomis and something to move those fish out of cover with. Basically im looking for a third rod aside from my spinning rig and the SC i already have. What would be my best bet out of the g-loomis rods?

St Croix vs G loomis
Im in the market for a new rod and am leaning towards a g loomis glx 7'M/H. Now i currently have a st croix avid same size M/H but i hear the st croix are lighter than their rating. Is this true because if they are very similar in power i will go with a beefier loomis rod.

streams and creeks in winter
I seem to remember an article ive read on bassresource saying feeder streams and creeks can hold some large fish when the water temp goes down. I cant find the article I read and i am wondering if my memory is faulty. I think it may have been about warm water. Anyone have success in small streams during the winter?

Gobal warming and its effects on fishing
Well I thought it was the other way around, Global warming and the fact humans are causing it is accepted fact among the serious scientific community. The psuedo scientists are the ones calling it just a theory. There are some other theories out there to, gravity for example.

Gobal warming and its effects on fishing
Actually using ice cores from the south pole scientists can acturately gauge global temperature and average carbon dioxide levels something like 150,000 years maybe longer i forget. And the data is somewhat alarming when the temperature and carbon dioxide levels have a direct correlation and the carbon dioxide levels are the highest recorded going back that far. I think this will have a profound effect on fishing in florida when half of it is underwater. As far as stricter emissions control hurting the economy, a couple hundred thousand refugees whose homes are now underwater will probably have a somewhat larger effect on the economy than paying for greener technology. Back to fishing now, with higher average temperature there is less snowpack on the mountains every year. Many water systems depend on annual melt to feed them every spring. This may have some small effect on fishing in these areas.

just beginnig
When i started bass fishing i used worms exclusively with sporadic results and the more i slowed the retreive down and tried twitching the bait and short jerks, stuff like that, the more fish i caught.

Have you got your 07' fishing license yet ?
correct me if im wrong but i thought many states sold 3 day or 1 week fishing passes so you dont have to pay full price for a couple trips a year
