I use Maui Jim, the lenses I use most are the bronze lens, but on cloudy or evenings I use the Maui HT lens which is green. Maui is the best glass out there IMO.

P Line tcb 8, fins 40g is what I'm using most.

I have a 301e for swimbaits that works excellent, I have a 201 I that I use for crankbaits. No complaints here.

I personally would take the GLX, it is IMO a better blank that is more sensitive. I had the Dobyns 742 and its a nice rod, I ended up selling it and getting a Kistler Magnesium 3 with the NFC blank that I like a lot more. I have the NRX in 852 in spinning and casting and its an amazing taper, I also have the GLX in 842 casting and its one of my favorite rods.

Me and the wife are looking into moving from Utah to Texas next year, I have never been to Texas so any special locations/areas that are close to local lakes? Right now here in Utah I have 3-4 lakes that are within a 20 minutes to 1 hour drive away, I would like the same if possible. My wife would need to relocate here job in either Austin or Dallas. Thanks for any info.

15lb is the lightest I have used. I currently have 15lb Pline TCB 8 .008" on two of my baitcasters

I only use Fluorocarbon as leader. I been using Sunline for Seaguar for years and they both are excellent, I recently purchased some Seaguar red label and its been excellent, not one problem and a lot cheaper.

Vicious no fade braid is the only one I have seen that keeps its color.

I use the FG knot. The PR knot is stronger then the FG but unless you have a bobbin it sucks. FG is thin and glides through guides on the cast, its also super thin. The FG has 80-90% of the lines ABS, as for the Alberto it around 60% of the lines ABS.

I have a GLX 842, Metanium 13 with a Yumeya shallow spool and HH air bearings and its amazing. I also added Curado K brass gears I would say a 842 with a MGL would rock, I also two NRX 852 in casting and spinning one with a Excense and one with the Metanium MGL and they are awesome also.

I've been using fins 40g for a while now and its been excellent. It actually one of my favorite braids, it is thicker then stated...

What I hate is when something is marketed as super patriotic "lunkers TV" rod and then made in China, now I have no problem with china made stuff, just don't put U.S. flags all over it... I think the googan squad are con artists...

Don't play with it to much or you could go blind I have the GLX 842 and is awesome, works excellent for smaller jerkbaits and spybaits.
