  1. woweeewow!... the poll is exceeding even my wildest expectations... just to be mentioned with all these other TV guys is a huge thrill! i have to keep reminding myself that i really do have a fishing show and people like it!... how cool is that? ...thanks a bunch everyone for voting for me... when i started Lunkerville a few years back, i didn't dream that we'd have the kind of success we've had... it really was a part time thing, a side project that i'd hope to turn into a full time career someday... well, it's working and i love doing it!... and if it weren't for all you passionate and interesting everyday bass anglers out there, the show wouldn't even exist... thanks a ton and i look forward to making more shows, year after year, with more of you!
  2. aw shucks, i'm just happy to be on the ballot you guys are cool.
  3. ugh... that game was brutal... not a good way to start the season
  4. they're coming!... maybe 4-6 weeks... thanks for watching
  5. thanks to everyone who offered to take me out fishing saturday... we've decided to fish with Tim "Magic" Post... this will compliment our friday shoot with rich z!... 2 days of fishing on champ... i can't wait... i hope i can sleep tonight!
  6. thanks bro, but i need to shoot 2 shows on champ this weekend... and i prefer to launch from the southern and of the lake for those interested in being on the show. and for those who don't know the dynamic of the show: you're the expert, i'm the novice... i do what you tell me... i fish with your equipment and your baits.
  7. I'm shooting 2 episodes of Lunkerville this weekend on Lake Champlain, and my Saturday guest fell through, so I'm looking for someone to fish with on Saturday. There are 2 requirements to be on the show: 1. you have a boat that will hold you, me and a cameraman. 2. you're an OK bass fisherman and know the lake a little bit. that's it. there's no pay, but i will cover your expenses and put you up in a room for a night if you need a place to stay. if you're interested, PM me. thanks, Mike
  8. I had a great time fishing with LBH... talking about CAST for KIDS and low budget fishing. A super nice guy he is. Brainless fun fishing was on the menu for this day, which is my specialty! enjoy the show! http://rockville.tv/lunkerville/lbh.html if you have a problem watching the video, download the latest version of quicktime here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ The show will be airing on WFN HD in the coming weeks and WFN SD in September.
  9. i truly believe the World Fishing Network will be on most cable systems and DirecTV very soon... they're doing such a great job over there and they have 100% fishing, all the time, in HD! we're also in discussions with other networks, so hopefully we'll have some good news soon:) also check out Verizon FiOS because they carry WFN now and offer great deals for combo TV/internet/phone.
  10. hey guys, thanks for the nice words. WFN airs a different show every week, so you shouldn't be seeing the same show... but in the event you do see the same show more than once, watch it again we're editing the LBH episode now... looking good!... although, i think i have to edit out some of the good stuff and keep it for the PPV special cause it's "adult-themed" if you know what i mean ;D
  11. thanks LBH!... i'm editing your show this week, so hopefully it will be done by next week. we accept most tape formats for submission, but prefer a DVD or digital file... mini DV is great also... VHS or Hi-8 works... if there's any question, PM or email me. WFN currently airs on DISH Network with their HD package and on Verizon FioS TV... look for them to be on DirecTV and cable soon!
  12. wait till you see the pay per view uncensored cut!... wooo boy oh boy.
  13. Perhaps, but it just makes that hat of yours even uglier. hey! ugly is a strong word... lemme see your hat pretty boy ;D
  14. HD s actually slimming i hear... now i can start drinking my sierra nevada pale ale again
  15. although WFN announced their DISH HD deal last month, they officially started broadcasting in HD this week. i've also heard they will be expanding their lineup further with more popular shows and even some original programming including a new charlie moore series. lunkerville press release: http://www.lunkerville.com/presswfnhd.html article: http://www.tvweek.com/news/2008/06/hd_the_new_route_to_carriage.php
  16. look for the episode on WFN and lunkerville.com in 6-8 weeks, maybe sooner.
  17. last week i had the pleasure to fish with bassresource's own Low Budget Hooker... LBH had sent in a video submission to Lunkerville, which we featured recently in our "Home Videos From Lunkerville" segment of the show... after looking at a bunch of LBH's videos,i knew he would be a great guest, so we gave him a call and hit the road to lake X, Rhode Island. the lake was super clear, with big boulders throughout... the weeds hadn't emerged yet, but you could see the dead weed lines from last year... LBH had his spots picked out while his friend Eric followed us in a camera boat... we fished from a 12' jon boat, electrically powered, which was very comfortable. we banged a couple of shallow fish right off the bat on soft stickbaits and judging by the fat bellies, they were females getting ready to spawn... with that in mind, we continued to target areas where there might be beds, casting at light areas and near visible boulders. the bite slowed significantly, but LBH worked hard to put us on fish... we passed the time with excellent conversation, food, drinks and a lot of laughs... LBH was a perfect guest, with lots of interesting things to say and totally comfortable in front of the camera... when the bite slowed, he didn't get discouraged as he zipped from spot to spot in search of some greenies... the pickerel came in to play for a while, which is always fun in my book, but this story wasn't over... perseverance paid off and LBH was the hero, putting us on a flurry of nice bass that will make for a great show. thanks russ and eric for the great hospitality and for making a terrific show and memory!
  18. how did i forget the terrific on-the-lake dining?... top notch it was with plenty of tasty food and drinks... thanks Russ and Eric. and regarding WFN and HD: WFN is available on DISH Network in HD and Verizon FiOS in SD... in Canada, we're all over the place in SD....i'm not sure of the exact date of LBH's broadcast, but i'll let everyone know when it's done... it will also be viewable online at lunkerville.com if you don't get WFN.
  19. i just got back to the hotel from a day of fishing with LBH (and a little after fishing food and drinks)... and i just want to say to everyone at BR: you should be proud!... Russ is an ideal guest for Lunkerville: he's totally natural on camera, fun to hang out with, has tons of personality, is a super gracious boater, and he put us on fish! ... the bite was tough i'm told for this water, but to me it was terrific... we put lots of really impressive fish in the boat, more than enough for a show, and we had a great time out there... a big thanks to Eric for helping out with the camera boat also. way to go Russ... you're a rock star my man!
  20. dick, not sure if it's on the standard def package with DISH... it might just be with the HD package... can someone check?
  21. yes indeed:) now i may have to switch from DirecTV to DISH... or have both!
  22. you've heard about it: the all fishing network... if you have Verizon FiOS TV, then you get it... if you're in Canada, you get it... now if you have DISH HD, you get it!! WFN: The World Fishing Network is on channel 396 http://biz.yahoo.com/pz/080511/142471.html
  23. i believe we'll be fishing the connecticut river in NH
  24. russ... we need to make it the following week... sunday may 25 in RI... i have 2 other guests set for the 26th in NH and 27th in Maine... does that work for you bro? and anyone that brings the camera boat will be treated to the delightful musings of our producer, shannon goldman (that's a guy with a girls name btw)... he's actually a cool dude and sometimes outfishes me, but don't worry, he'll behave himself... he'll also bring you some free stuff and cover your expenses and maybe get you on-camera if it fits in the storyline
