Uncle Buck's Pond Prowler Boat 10ft' has a drain right in the center at the very back. At least mine does but its probably 10 to 12 years old. The new ones I dont know.

This counts as a problem with spending money to fish for me. I have never bought more than a jon boat. Anyway yesterday I picked it up. Still needs some cleaning I just hosed it off on my way home yesterday. Its 18ft 2000 model with a 115 Johnson so nothing to fancy.

Great I saw several brands all around $10 at Walmart but didn't know if any of them would do what they claimed on the bottle. Figured I would get some one to point me at the good stuff.

Bought the boat this evening. Needs some stuff like a good cleaning. Anyone have some secret cleaners you use that cuts that film off the hull? I promise not to tell the secret formula. But mainly a think a good through cleaning is going to make a huge eye appeal difference. The car wash wouldnt even start to remove the film. Its like soap film on the shower door kind of white in color. Also what wax is a reasonable priced one that seems to work well to use on the painted hull? Thanks for the help.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a boat cover. I could use some experienced input on what thickness, material, price range is reasonable. I am not wealthy and cant just order a $1000 cover. I need a best bang for the buck kind of deal. Looking around the web these things get into stupid $. The boat I need one for is a SeaArk ZX180 18ft Bass boat. Im in Texas so its not like it has to keep 3ft of snow out of the boat but we do get our share of sun, rain, and wind. Thanks for any help.

Congrats on the boat. What kind did you get? I see the pic but I don't have the best eyes and couldn't tell you what it was if I was standing on it as my boat knowledge is well extremely lacking on all the different models. I hope to have my new used boat this week.

Well I did some more research and found out it is a 2000 model bass boat for sure. I added a PDF file that Tabitha from SeaArk Customer Service sent me from the 2000 catalog. I had sent her a pic of the hull number and she verified it to be that year. Found out it is in the ballpark on price according to NADA as well. I should be picking it up either tomorrow or Tuesday. I guess I am still to old school I do not really like the EWG style hooks. I use them some but seem to have much better success with the offset style worm hooks. I want that hook point un-obstructed as much as possible. I like it out there with nothing but the skinned plastic between it and the fish lips. 5" I would prefer a 4/0 maybe even a 5/0 if I know Im on some big ones. Definitely heavy wire, and as stated already cross their eyes.

I would try a T-rigged worm present it a few different ways slow fast etc see if they respond. That and a good old white spinnerbait or a lipless crank.

Sounds like something I would do. Aww man I bet she felt horrible. I have worried I would do that so I remove them all before I ever put them in my box. I use these 2 regularly with no issues. Lews LFS Speed Spool 7:1 on St Croix MBC70MHF 7' MHF Lews LFS Speed Spool 6.4:1 on Fenwick HMG GT72M-F-CB Crankbait Rod 7'2" MF I also started with a Lew's from Walmart I think it was $50. It has been flawless once I learned how to use a baitcaster. Oh and I just received a Tournament I bought here out of the Flea Market. I'm rod hunting for it. Honestly my stuff is junk to many here I know. But this is the most I have ever spent on fishing anything.

Pepper Custom Spinnerbaits are nice as well. They are IMHO better than the War Eagles and run about the same price if not a little less. Maybe not the most awesome bait in the world but a well built reasonable priced one that works.

I think what he was getting at is if you could fish both with brown paper bags over them 99% of the guys using them would not be able to tell the difference. This is exactly what is happening in this industry one bait gets a single rib more plastic or less and they call it a new breakthrough in baits. The same with reels one gets .4 oz weight off and all of a sudden everyone can measure that down to the .1 of a oz by hand no scales needed. I could do this for days with the insane 1" incriments in rod lengths. They are blowing smoke to sell. Same with the brakes both companies are very reputable I seriously doubt either of those brakes are junk. Nick if you like the winch great. I don't think DVT meant it was bad or wasn't even different just in the real world it was a wash.

I fish worms a lot. I T-Rig 95% of the time. I prefer the grape or black grape Mann's Jelly Worms 9" and 12" over any other but I do keep some of their T-Rex Worms around. They make some nice worms just not my favorite. I just don't see that tail not wrapping up in stuff. But I haven't used it so I can't say from hands on experience it will.

Lew BB1 Pro in 5.1:1 gets my vote. I dont have a BB1 but the other Lew's I have have been great.

I might have tried one if they had one in the 7.9:1 Gear Ratio. Just 6.4:1 is all that is listed though. Yeah I would think it would help some. I had actually been thinking about trying to get a handle like that for my Lew's. Where did you get yours? All the aftermarket ones I have seen are stupid expensive.

Mine isnt trying to actually double post now but it is saving what is posted still in the box as if I never posted it. See the stuff in the box I posted earlier today it should be empty. Of course it did not do it when i made this post for some reason.
