  1. Use the same here or my razor knife. Those ring pliers work great just don't get to close to any metal when cutting loose. I nicked the wire on a sprinnerbait it now has a spot that won't cut, right in the middle.
  2. Texas rigged just about any worm style bait. The smaller size worms or Senko will catch more fish not generally as big though. Show her how to check and keep the point skinned in the plastic. A monster hook set isnt always required when t-rigged either if the hook is sharp. Open water a crankbait would be entertaining as well. Its just not the best at "doesn't tangle, and wont snag all the time" if she gets it in anything. Another negative she will hate having to untangle the treble hooks from her line (if she gets them wound up) or removing treble hooks from fish.

No toys at my house just Chevys. But back then I thought the little trucks were cool. Several friends dropped V6s and smallblock V8s in theirs. It was like the truck grew a pair over night.
  4. I'm glad you asked this question TNReB. I have about the same budget for 1 unit and am hoping for something a little newer (bigger screen) than the X51 and X71 Lowrance units on my 18ft SeaArk. I can see fish on my unit it's just they are small and my eyesight is not great. Also the screen fogs up from the inside and makes it horrible in bright daylight.
  5. I posted about the one in my boat here. Seems to be pretty good for the money they charge mine is definitely a older model and it charges great still.
  6. 1 I'd love to have one and two would be awesome. 2 If I had them I guarantee you they would be used every trip 3 they aren't for the poor fella that wasn't born into $ or that was fortunate enough to have that kind a dough for them. 4 I'm jealous ? Did you ever try the DIY pin system? I see a lot of YouTube and discussion about the fiberglass rods used to manually do the same thing. I'm considering trying these since power stuff is extremely pricy.

  9. But if you throw a pack of Keitech out there in the pile its obvious where the profile came from. Take the label off or hide it hold them 5ft away and ask anyone to take a glance and tell you what they are. 9 out of 10 guys that fish these first guess should and most likely will be Keitech. Its business 101 see something people buy a lot, make a few slight alterations to make it your own, and slap your name on it. Advertise your new and improved backwards ribs as the latest greatest thing. Include a tail design off your other products and voila you now have more income.
  10. ^^^ same sentiment A little tip that means everything. ^^^
  11. ^^^ Exactly and simple. Takes all the having to have things perfect out of the equation. My trailer has welded on uprights at the rear. Once that nose of the boat comes through its done. Unless someone does something really crazy you just get the strap hook it on and crank it on. It aligns itself as the strap keeps the nose exactly headed for the center and the rear cant get away left or right. Being alone they help especially if its windy or your at a not so familiar ramp.
  12. Mine were white and all stuck together in about a 1/2 gallon of what ever liquid they put in there with them. That is one bait I did not care to get and I am a worm fanatic. Just cant stand these baits that come in a bag of soup. The rest of this months LTB wasnt to bad although this makes 2 months we got a hard swimbait.
  13. No I don't fish competitively. But I understand the desire to have every stinking advantage man can create at their finger tips. But that doesn't mean there wasn't competitive fishing before all the electronics. The problem is where does it end? What's the limit to where it becomes enough? All I am saying is let's see what the man can do vs a little fish. Hey it's the pros rabbit hole he's digging deep and it isn't about the better angler when you hear things like "It's all part of the game, if you don't know how to use it and the other guy does than they have a strong advantage on you. " That is not showing me who is the better angler. That shows me the better financed person and or better at reading electronics. Neither of them have anything to do with the mans ability with a rod, reel, baits or a person's knowledge of the species and their traits. I didn't say they don't use their brain I'm saying leave it at that and quit using thousands of dollars to pin point every fish. If every tool was the motto why aren't deer hunters using infared? Or spotlights? Why not just go free for all and have at it? Well it's not really a sport when the odds have become redicioulus in ones favor. Just my opinion wasn't calling anyone out like they were dumb or something.
  14. I got my first boat the other day and my daughter asked what the screens were for. I told her fish finders. She immediately said that is a cheat! As in video game cheat giving the one player a unfair advantage over the opponent. I have to say it's hard to argue her point. Being humans are supposed to be suruperior isn't enough we are having electronics point to the fish. What would people say about a deer hunter using infared scopes? Heck with the technology now I really don't see near as much skill today as we have baits that almost mimic and look like the real thing with scents the same and we call these guys "professional". I'm not saying they aren't great fishermen but let's take all the aids away use your lures and your brain to find the fish.

  16. I had no idea Tractor Supply started carrying fishing tackle!!! They actually didnt have much but I saw these two packs of my favorite 5" Paca Craws for $1.49 ea and had to have them. I got the only pack of Craw Fatty and the one and only pack of Venom tubes to try. I never used either but I was sure wishing they had more Paca Craws for $1.49 ea I might have had to bust out the CC.
  17. I agree they are too big better rip them off there before they break something and Ill get that garbage right out of your way. Just lay those horribly over sized things gently in the bed of my truck.
  18. Mine works fine. Im on a desktop if that matters.

It hasn't had the key in years. It's a pull tab now. Sliced fairly thin fried it makes decent sandwich meat. I had it with several different thinks growing up but always sliced and fried. Had potted meat as a kid it wasn't bad but now days I must not be that hungry. One of the things I dont see that we had as a kid was Kraft egg noodles and chicken. I occasionally look for it on the shelf but I guess it caused cancer or something because it's not in any store I've seen.
  20. I just bought a used boat through a local credit union. They were willing to do pretty much anything reasonable but it was a used and only $5000. I took a 3 yr note on the same idea if I get in a bind my must do payment is cheap. The rest of the time I'm doubling up on payments. I don't have a clue on a new one but I am sure different lenders have different rules.
  21. I just bought my boat (used) and had just been reading up on the charger in mine as I had to find out what the lights indicated. I found out it has good reviews and seems to be quite a decent charger. Mine is the one below but it looks like they have a Generation 3 version now. Here is their website. http://promariner.com/ the one I have is under the Waterproof On-Board Marine Battery Chargers section then ProSport. Features I thought were nice. 100% waterproof and shockproof 2-year warranty Charges Flooded (lead-acid)/STD AGM, GEL & High Performance(HP) AGM 3 built-in charging profiles for flooded, gel or AGM batteries ProMariner 42012 ProSport 12 12-Amp 2-Bank Battery Charger
  22. 3/16 or 1/4 oz bullet weight 5" NetBait Paca Craw in Black Red Shad 3/0 Offset Worm Hook
  23. Key point 1 Key point 2 ^^^ Referring back to Key point 1 and Key point 2 Clarifying keep ElaZtech plastics away from other brands of baits, and in their original packaging and their wont be any problem.
