Tw Teaming Up With Rebaits To Reduce Litter
I feel like many of these programs have some good intent but like others mention I am not so sure the big picture will be effected. In general people are nasty critters. Sad to say but by in large we are pretty scummy. I see it every day on my job dealing with small to medium groups and 9 times out of 10 when I go to pick up the chairs there is trash shoved down between them and left for whoever. I hope it works but I don't see it making a impact.

Brady Suspension ( 4 Games )
Let any one of us nobodies even remotely be in his shoes and we would be under the crossbar hotel. The NFL is such a parade of Kardashian drama these days. ESPN reeks of political correctness so bad I cant stand to even watch it anymore. Its even to the point I mute the dang announcers and their hogwash when I watch a game. The biggest bunch of over paid catered to crybabies I have ever seen = NFL player

Worm Binder
What size did you get? They offer more than one. Same question what size binder did you get? I saw these as well what size did you get? They all offer like a medium and a large what ones do you have and do you wish you had went smaller, the same size, or bigger if you could do it over?

Tracker's Year End Clearance Event
I was considering a new small boat as well and wondered if they actually run sales on the small trackers. I haven't ever kept up with how the new boat market went.

Worm Binder
Wow I didn't see so many different opinions coming. I see kind of a split some like the freezer bags possibly in a small duffel bag, other like the binders. I already have several small duffel bags I never tried just putting my soft plastics in one of them. I might try that before I order one. I fish from the bank and a boat and I just didn't like the way I couldn't really see what was in each pocket without pulling 90% out. Even with the baits somewhat organized by pocket you cant see whats what. This is why I was interested. I keep my baits in their original packages as well. This was why I asked do you put the entire bag inside the pages or do you prefer just the baits in the pages? I have seen it used both ways.

Worm Binder
I fish a lot of soft plastics and never really have a good way to take them with me. I have 4 large pockets full and some in one 3700 plastic. I was seeing these Worm Binders and now I am interested in trying one. I have a $50 BassPro credit I got so I figured I might get a binder. I like this style that holds jarred baitholders as I take JJs with me and really don't like carrying it in my big bag in case it leaks. I will take any advise on best brands or styles. I don't have to have the jarred baitholders but thought it would be a good addition. Heck let me know if they are not all that useful too I don't want to waste my $ if they are a joke to use. Also do you put the entire bag inside the pages or do you prefer just the baits in the pages?

First Time Boat Owner In Need Of Some Help
Congrats on the boat. Free is a dang good start. ^^^ I couldn't have helped myself. I would have done the same thing. If I had been confused as to sell or not. I think I would tell the guy $2500.00 cash, and celebrate on the $200 bonus or you get to keep the boat no loss.

Storing Soft Plastics
I have one cheap imitation 3700 style box the used soft plastics usually end up in there simi organized while fishing. Later after fishing I will go back and if they are worth keeping I reintroduce the usable pieces back to their factory bag. Or into a Ziploc with my own concoction of scent attractants. The rest stay in their original packaging as some have scent some have salt etc. I don't want one big pot where all my plastics are scented the same. Also here in Texas you don't want to forget you have soft plastics in a plastic container in the truck or boat during the summer. For some reason the factory bags haven't melted on my like the plastic boxes will.

Pflueger President 6935 A Good Size For A 7'1" Mf Spinning Rod?
You already got you Rage rod? If so how do you like the grip? I have read some negative comments in these forums referring to the grip. The rod was spoken highly of though. That is cool the color will match the reel. I have never had Rage rod to hold and see how it feels.

Pflueger President 6935 A Good Size For A 7'1" Mf Spinning Rod?
I have fished with the 6935 and I would say If I had my choice I would purchase a 6930 as ww2farmer suggested. I have actually been thinking of doing exactly like you and picking up one of the discounted Rage rods and a Pflueger President. I had even debated the same 6935 vs 6930. To me I think I would appreciate the slightly lighter reel as far as using it all day. Also a lighter reel to me seems to balance better 90% of the time on the rod.

Line Issues
Yeah I had already wished I had tied the Aruku back on. That would have eliminated the whole lure debate. But we went fishing and frustration set in after about an hour jacking with it. I am over it now and clearer minds are prevailing. I just had such high hopes going into it and it really sucked having issues like this. I will take it back out and work with it some more somewhere there is a solution I just have to find it.

Line Issues
That all sounds good but it doesn't explain why a avid baitcast user was having the same exact issues I was having with it. I handed it to him and he was like most here kind of thinking it was user error. I am not saying some of it isn't user error but when it started kicking his butt he quit messing with me about how I wasn't holding my tongue right. He gave up on it and thought something was wrong with the reel. The good thing is the sidearm roll cast you speak of is the only cast I learned. I only cast like that because it was simple and on videos I was told it prevented backlash the best. Me being the chicken of backlashes I learned that method. I will double check the line to make sure its not to loose and practice more and see what happens. Thanks for all the advise everyone.

Line Issues
Yeah I understand but these lures were not that far off the tip of the rod possibly 20 feet maybe even 30 feet and as hard as I was throwing they shouldn't have been slowing down at all. There was a ever so slight breeze and it want even constant. I didn't consider it a factor as it might have registered a 1 or maybe possibly a 2 mph for a split second and I wasn't throwing into the breeze. I will listen to all the thumb ideas and practice them but like I said my friend who uses baitcast reels for years couldn't cast it either. So I was thinking it was more a mechanical thing not a person thing. Do you think line twist might cause this? I was throwing long casts with the Spro all morning with zero issues are lip less crankbaits known to twist line? I know I am reaching but either something broke in that reel or I have the weird issue of the year going on.

Line Issues
Well initially that was our thought but after numerous times of peeling line each time going further and further into the spool thinking its back to nice wound line and getting the same result we dropped that notion. OK I am a rookie so bear with me. What are you calling the "brake control"? The blue knob beside the handle? So far in my limited use I have found that I really don't move the blue knob. But I don't know the exact weights on the lures I use so I just do the little drop test to make sure its not way off. Of course I have yet to tie on a worm and I know that will be different. I understand using your thumb but this is like crazy if I keep thumbing it enough to stop this I will kill any distance because this is not a minor little over run. At least this is the way i see it. Applying my thumb as a brake in the middle of the cast hard enough to stop the blowup I am having is not going to fare well with any distance. I thought that as well so I made a specific effort that the line went back on the reel with some resistance. Not making it dig in. I mean I made sure the line was taught to the lure by raising my pole or stepping back before i started reeling line back on. I still got the same result. I started out throwing the 3" 5/8oz Spro Aruku Shad I had zero issues with it as I stated before. Then I went to a 1/2 oz Spinner bait with the KVD Jr Chunk. This worked fine for about 15 minutes and then the issues started. So I went up in size to a 3/4 oz Spinnerbait and the issues continued. I cant imagine it is when the spinnerbait starts to slow down. This is doing the nesting when the lure hasn't made it 30 feet. The lure should still be sailing full speed at that point?

Line Issues
I bought a Lews MR1Sh from of all places Walmart. I practiced with it in my yard for 2 weeks using Stren 12lb no problems. I used different weight dummy lures and all testing because I am a rookie on baitcasting. Ok so Friday I know I am going to a place with heavy moss and all kinds of cover and I say to myself I sure would like to refill this spool before I go fishing. Admittedly I had 2 birdsnests I could not get out and had to cut and it was not completely full to start with from what I have read. I was well below the beveled edge with only 125 yards on it. So anyway I go to Walmart (I live in a small town BassPro is 2hr drive) and look at all the line and it appears the only 150 yard braid is some SpiderWire Stealth Glow-Vis Braid 50lb test. OK I read and read and see how to spool braid and I put it on. I make sure to load the spool as I have read and its looking awesome nice and even on the spool but its dark by now outside and i cant test it. This is where the fun starts. We leave early Saturday morning and get to the pools I start by setting my reel and everything is fine I cast probably 2hrs with it no issues. Then I switch to a spinnerbait and make the appropriate settings and now its a nightmare. Not every time but random maybe every 3rd or 4th cast the line starts coming off good but then mid cast its making a mess of the spool then it finishes by unwinding the mess before the lure hits the water. Obviously not every time does it complete the cast as the "mess" sometimes turns into a birdsnest depending on the random way the line balls up in the reel. My fishing partner who uses baitcast was stumped as well. He tried it with no luck either. We played with every setting tightening loosening different lures try to change the weight to see how it effected it. I bet we spent 45 minutes to an hour just trying to fix my reel. I was so disgusted. Does anyone have any ideas? I was so ready to toss the reel in the pool but I just bought this Mojo Bass rod and this reel I didn't want to toss $160 that was on its first tip just yet. I mean I was casting 40 yards just beautiful for a couple a hours before what happened? I haven't given up but this sure didn't help my ego. haha

Summer-Time Bass Fishing
Maybe post some pictures of the lake and we could suggest where we would hit. Not seeing the lake it would be very hard to point to the best location in a lake. Also not knowing what you have tried lure wise I would say get some soft plastic worms. For me when nothing else is working the Texas rigged worm usually works. Try different presentations till I find something they like.

Bought New Frogs But...
I am no expert I don't even use frogs but I decided to try some so I bought some this past winter. Before I did I watched one video (don't remember what one) that had a "pro" talking of this same subject. What he said was kind of obvious. Basically he said the fish are down here and a top water bait is up here. He goes on to say now the only side of any topwater bait that matters is where... the bottom. He actually says when buying frogs as far as the color he only cared about the bottom color he would suggest a white and a black bottom and if you wanted a 3rd frog a yellow but he only used the black and white ones. The top color doesn't matter. That was my best recollection anyway. So I would think it would be more of the strike based on the shape first and then maybe the color. I have used sharpies to put eyes or black dots like eyes on my cheap spinnerbaits and its never stopped fish from hitting them. But I do use JJ Magic on the tips of some skirts but I am sure I haven't always done this to mask the sharpie scent. It was more trying to get a color I wanted. I say go for it maybe you will find a killer combination. I wish I had bought mine at DSG for $4 they were very proud of the frogs everywhere I shopped when I bought mine.
