  6. question for ya guys. I have been following this thread for awhile now and have recently gotten a fishin yak. where would be the best place on Toledo for fishing from a kayak to find a lot of good fish. Ive tried paradise and pirates coves, army rec, park site 7 on the texas side and launched from the bridge in indian creek. I have fished this lake with friends on boats before and we were always on fish but that was also running from spot to spot. thanks guys

  9. Went outthe 17th eith a buddy from work found some grads and caught 7 before noon on a carolina rig. Thats all thy wanted to hit. Unfortunately my tacklebag went over board also so now gotta restock everything:(

  11. Man yall are lucky i live 15-20 minutes from toledo bend . Our walmart sucks and theres no big fishing stores within 2hrs. We do have a dicks and academy about 45 min to an hr away. Luckily a guy i work with also owns a tackle shop so he helps me out with deals.

  18. i dont striper fish but they use the same poles and reels we do in florida on the piers for king mackerel. Me and my dad use 9' lamiglass custom surf rods with a zeebaas zx22 or zx25 manual spinning reel sith no bail. It is completely sealed so water will bot get into your gears amazing drag on it and is smooth as butter mine is silver/red which you wont find on their website as it was a special order from the company and my dads main one is black. They are a bit pricy brand new roughly 900-1000 a reel but well worth it. We got all of our black ones used from either stripersonline or ebay. I wish they made a small manual spinning reel to use for lmb.

  21. Ehh back home in the panhandle of florida we use 30# jerry brown braid and a 40-60# steel leader with a dead cigar minnow on the end. Never had one that was "line shy". As for spanish, a Gotcha lure slays em when they are runnin
