  1. Yeah, canceled my order with them today and have a growing TW shopping card going. TW was always on the spot with my deliveries! And with theri 25days of saving I might get it as 'cheap'
  2. Hm, ok. I dont have a problem with a longer order, when I have confirmation that I will get the order. I spent a good amount of money with them and just the fact that nobody reacts to countless calls and emails is a bit disconcerting.
  3. Hi there, I just would like to see what your experience is with Bass Tackle Depot. I made two orders in the last 10 days and have not received any information about shipping yet. I have called at least 10 times with no luck and sent at least 3 emails that all did not get answered. I am just wondering if this is normal or something is fishy here. When I order with TW, my order is at my door 2 days after I submitted it... Thanks. Best, Seb.
  4. I feel you! What did you do? Did you order new ones? When I get into this kind of situations, I feel stupid, sad and angry for a while, but eventually end up order new stuff... Go figure.
  5. Ok, I bought the Trilene Big Game 25# in 'clear' as well. I think this could be a good line for any top water applications like spooks, open water frogs, whopper plopper. Anythings that I need to be aware of with that type of line? What knots do you use?
  6. Looking at the Deeper and the Fish Hunter. Any additional reviews/ thoughts on the two that came up in the last year? I am not sure I understand the difference between the two. Who can help? Thank you!
  7. You standing there, after the brake off, looked familiar. But I am sure I stood there for whole 3mins, speechless. I am gonna user the 25# P-Line CXX X-Tra Strong and see how it goes. Might be a bit overkill, but lets see. Really takes a while to figure out the right line (type, brand and weight) for the diffferent techniques out there..
  8. Thanks for your reply! What would you recommend for such a line? I have ordered last week (since it was on sale): P-Line CXX X-Tra Strong Color: Hi-Vis Line Size: 25 lb Spool Size: 260 yard
  9. First day where I can try out my new Huddleston Deluxe. Same day I lost it, due to a stupid mistake.. So, what happened? I cast, the line on my reel jams for a second, I see the lure flying trough the air, splashing at an area where I could not rescue it. I was literally standing there for 5mins and fighting with myself to start cursing at myself or just letting the hard rain continue to fall on my jacket. Well, it was totally my fault. I put 40# Gliss Supersmooth Monotex my Lew's and was 'hoping' that it would be enough for a 6" lure. How wrong I was!!! The line/knot could not stand the shock of the sudden stop and off it was. :( How can I avoid this happening? Should I put a leader on the main line? If yes, what type and pound weight? What do I need to watch out next time? Thanks for your help!
  10. yeah, it is a 'short drive' Before I conquer the bigger water, I want to discover what my local waters have to offer. Plus I dont have the time to do a 10 hours fishing trip to those other locations on a regular bases...
  11. Hi there, I am looking for a Bass Club in Marin County (California). I usually fish the following lakes: Alpine, Bon Tempe, Phoenix. Let me know if you know anything about a Bass club, or if you want to fish together some day. Cheers, Sebastian
  12. With the BF sales at TW I bought a 'Wild River TT Nomad XP Lighted Backpack USB'. Thought the price seems to be high, this back is an awesome investment. Great quality and a lot of places where you can put stuff. I have the backback on when I walk around the bank with my 2-3 rods and the great balance makes me almost forget that I am wearing a big back bag. I have 4 x 3600 boxes in there where I can store like 90% of my lures that I own. Check also Amazon. They sell the bags there for aroun 160 USD.
  13. You might want to have a look at the Lew's BB2 Inshore baitcaster. For me it handles bigger lures, is super smooth and is also for saltwater fishing. Maybe an option!
  14. Which one did you order?
  15. I have a friend that lives in Thailand. Maybe I can ask him to send some over here. Paying 24 USD on amazon is a bit too much for this thing.
  16. Would be great if you could post a review (send me a PM) for the lures how they performed!
  17. Hi guys, I came across this awesome looking lure and I was wondering a) if it would work for Bass as well and where you would get it. Watch the video: HERE.
  18. Great responses! Do you have any recommendations in regards to oil, greece etc? I have two Lew's baitcaster and a Pflueger Spinning reel if that is important for that choice. Thanks guys!
  19. Hi guys, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I finally made the purchase of some really nice reels from Lew's. To enjoy my investment as long as good as possible, I was wondering if some people could get me their 2cents on how they take care of their reels (baitcaster and also spinning)? I was thinking that there are three steps that make a reel last long: 1. Prep reparation before going fishing Are there any things that you do? 2. During fishing If water gets on it, dry it. Dont smack your reel and rod when the 10 pounder got off. 3. After the fishing Clean it, dry it. How often do you oil and greeze your reels? What products can you recommend here? Any experience with the products from Ardent (Ardent 3-Step Care Pack)? THanks.
  20. I have had good experiences with Pflueger!
  21. Thank you. Makes sense what you say. Lets see what kind of buying fever I will get on BF.
  22. Everybody calm down. I will wait till the sale is on. Admin please close this thread. Thanks.
  23. At what kind of usage does it make sense to go with an Inshore reel?
  24. Hi guys, I wanted to get your feedback if possible on the two reels mentioned. Lew's Team Pro Speed Spool and Lew's BB2 Inshore. I would use the reel for 95% of Freshwater fishing, but every now and then I would also use it for some inshore fishing. In the freshwater department I was planning to use the reel for top water and swim baits. Freshwater I would be using it for spoons and bug tail jigs. I have no idea how bad it really is to use a fresh water reel for salter water (of course I would clean rinse it with fresh water after the use and give it some oil). I am planning to use the reel on a Shimano Expride 7'3 extra heavy. I would assume that the Inshore reel is sturdier and has a tougher built. What would you recommend? Thank you. Best, Seb.
