Dallas Texas Bass Fishing Is Tough !!!
Welcome to Bass Resource, I'm in Waco Texas and the heat is hard to fish through, I have found going earlier before sunrise helps and fishing deep after sunrise can help get some bites, our community college has signs up by there river dock with fishing times, I'd call and ask though cause some may not have signs, the university denied me access to there river property

Your "go To" Rig For Soft Plastics?
Thanks to all for the comments, I believe I'll dedicate a rod to Texas rig and throw it until I'm confident, based on my river conditions a Texas rig makes more since being weedless and all.

Your "go To" Rig For Soft Plastics?
I'm never heard of the jika rig, googled it though, looks interesting, how is it on hang ups? Good at getting through things? The river I fish is very rocky and I sacrifice tackle often when fishing bottom.

Your "go To" Rig For Soft Plastics?
Since I started fishing it's always been easier to use a hard bait to get a bite, soft plastics are not in my confidence baits or even my top 5, and I want to change that. I think they were pushed aside because it became overwhelming, there's so many soft plastics and so many different rigs to tie up the endless options made me tie on a crankbait instead. So what's your favorite rig and type of plastic to use with it?

New Pb For Me This Morning.
I got a 21 and a quarter inch bass this morning, my scales broke but based on the weight to length conversion it's 5.71 lbs. I thought this river only had 1 to 2 pounders until today.

Back problems suck, I had 2 herniated discs in my lower spine that cause some painful sciatica, couldn't walk or stand up straight for 2 years, I changed doctors and insurance and finally got injections in my spine so the sciatica went away but if I mess my back up again the Dr wants to do the surgery, not looking forward to it at all

Storing Fishing Line
I found a 3 shelf rolling cart with rod racks on both sides on Craigslist, I keep it in the house cause Texas is humid, the plastic pieces that held the rods were a bit hard and I had to force the rod into place so I replaced them with velcro straps. Before that shelf I just put them in an empty corner. I always leave baits tied on since I use them often, just don't reel down to much before storing the rod, it could damage the line or rod eventually.
