  1. I never thought about that, I could still take every color if I just don't bring the whole bag of plastics, thanks for the idea, soft plastics are the bulk of my backpack weight. I'm hoping once I learn my waters better I can eliminate all the colors I don't need.
  2. I wish it were that easy but I have back problems and the next time I have to have surgery. If it weren't for that I'd be packing double what I take fishing now.
  3. War Eagle makes a good spinnerbait, I'd avoid the extreme trokar, just because I don't like trokar hooks, but their other spinnerbaits are great.
  4. I have some booyah frogs, jigs, and buzzbaits. Haven't had any problems out of them, I can't comment on the spinnerbaits as I haven't tried them.

  8. That's one of my problems, I'll take 7 of the same plastic in different colors, I gotta start narrowing it down to the colors I need.
  9. How do you choose what baits to take and in what colors, I have a bad habit of trying to take everything bank fishing with me and then carrying a 30lb backpack, I always feel like the bait I left home is going to be the one I need, and I know I'm not going to need everything but I try to pack it all in anyway. Should I just consider the water clarity and weather for the day to choose, cause the weather channel lies to me all the time, having sunny days when they say rain. If I pack for rain and it's sunny will those same baits be enough? I like to over think everything, another bad habit of mine. Any help lightning my tackle bag is appreciated.
  10. Congrats, when I get them that size they are usually hooked just like that.
  11. I try to remember to enter everyday but Im not good at guessing weights, hope I get lucky

  13. Yum dinger in melon pie and watermelon seed, I haven't used my other brands or colors yet so can't say if they work for me.
  14. I had one do it one day, thought I'd never get the hooks out since the crank was taking up all of its mouth.

  16. With my experiences no, none of the fishing apps have been accurate for me, i catch alot of fish on poor days and no fish on good days. The most i use those apps for now is to get weather info and sun rise times

  18. Went and fished a grub today, after not getting anything on topwater all morning I tried the grub and started catching fish. If it weren't for this thread I would have forgotten those grubs in my bag and they would have been trailers.
  19. The only thing I'm picky about on a jig is the hook, the skirt and collar can be replaced, if I keep it long enough, I bank fish some rocky spots and sometimes my jigs don't make it back.
  20. 3/8 for most of my jigs occasionally 1/2 for a football head.

  22. Need more info, what kind of lure are we talking about, and how are you rigging it? When I Texas rig it and fish the bottom I can feel every rock, at first they felt like bites.
  23. I like poppers and chatterbaits in summer, and crankbaits and swimbaits in fall.
