  1. Maybe this frog just isn't suited to your style of frogging? Maybe it's better in light cover and open water? It's just there's something like 40 reviews of this frog on TW and about 98% of them love this frog.
  2. Where did you find a 50' dog leash? All I find are like 16 - 20' at most.
  3. I bought some of these...https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?start=0&count=30&searchtext=strike+king+skipping+jig. Haven't tried them out yet but they get good reviews.
  4. Maybe putting this post under the Rods & Reels forum instead of the Tackle forum will get you more results?
  5. Part of me realizes this but part of me also says that everyone else is in a similar situation yet they have managed to recover for the most part and are getting their orders out the door to their customers close to if not the same timeframe as before Covid hit! It also is odd how TW can get your order out the door if you pony up for expedited shipping but if not it takes 16 days.
  6. If you had a choice of buying a Shimano SKX XT/ SLX rod combo for $180 or a Shimano Scorpion MGL/ Daiwa Aird-X rod for $210 which would you choose and why? Let’s keep it strictly betttgexabove mentioned combos please ?.
  7. Nobody’s saying you have to...in fact most are agreeing with you and buying from their competitors because of their shipping woes. We’re just mystified that TW was one of the best online tackle retailers in the business and now they’re one of the worst because of their ridiculous standard shipping delays and we’re wondering what happened to them as most of their competitors aren’t experiencing delays like this.
  8. Yeah, we all get that somehow their expedited shipping isn't affected...accept that it's double the price it was pre-Covid but you shouldn't have to pay for expedited shipping to get your order quickly...standard shipping should get your order to you within 5 - 7 days...not 16 days, that's just ridiculous!!!
  9. It seems more often then not now I'm just using Tackle Warehouse for visuals of what I want because their web site is very clean and works well and I can see up close pics of what I'm looking for better then most other sites but I end up ordering from one of their competitors because they have that ridiculous 16 day wait before they ship. Look, I understand that COVID threw everything out of whack but it did so to everybody, not just Tackle Warehouse and if other merchants have recovered why can't TW? I know California has been hit harder then most as their size/population is much more then most other States but the restrictions have been getting less and less for over a month now as COVID cases have been going down drastically all across the U.S., in fact just the other day they said for the first time ALL 50 States reported a reduction in cases. If TW is that swamped they need to hire more people to get the orders together and out the door in a timely manner!!!
  10. I have placed several orders through their competitors recently who have stock and get it shipped to me quickly so that excuse is just that...an excuse. If their competitors can get me my order within a week there's no good reason that it should take Tacklewarehouse 16 days!
  11. Tackle Warehouse just isn't the same anymore. I mean I know COVID affected them and all but it affected everybody Nationwide (Worldwide really) yet many other online tackle retailers have recovered and are back to normal and many of them have almost as much business per day that Tackle Warehouse does so it's hard for me to understand why they haven't been able to recover as quickly as their competitors? I'm sure they aren't worried...yet, but they need to get caught up with their inventory/orders/shipping times and they need to get back to having their normal "sales" like all their competitors have before they do have to worry. This pandemic has put a lot of businesses under that were doing just fine before it hit.
  12. This is interesting! I never really thought about the color matching much although I must admit there are some reel colors that look better on my Fury's then others (that Tequila Sunrise orange Concept Z would clash horribly with the green accents on the Fury...lol). Luckily most of my rods are either black or white with just colored accents. Wow, what do you fish with...a tree branch and some line . Seriously, finding something that isn't made in China is getting to be incredibly difficult. I admire your thought process but phew, that really limits your selection in todays world!
  13. You know I always thought I was the same and I was when I started seriously fishing but at some point it changed unbeknownst to me...lol. I’m sure it’s just a mental thing, my mind playing tricks on me ?.
  14. This thought just occurred to me out of the blue...not really sure why but it would make for an interesting online social experiment . How many of you are biased to the point where you'd never think about putting brand "x" reel on a brand "y" rod? For example, I am not biased towards a particular brand, I own Shimano, Daiwa, Lews, 13 Fishing and Abu Garcia rods and reels but for some odd reason there is no way I'd put a Shimano reel on a Daiwa rod and vice versa. Now, here's where it gets weird...I totally wouldn't mind putting a Lews reel on a Shimano or Daiwa rod or a Shimano or Daiwa reel on a Lews rod. I know it sounds strange but how many of you out there think similarly?
  15. Well, I bit the bullet and ordered a 4.5” Ghost Shad color. We’ll see if it was a good purchase or a fool and his money parted ?.
  16. Yup, I got most of those (instead of Bone I went with Ghost White) plus the Frog, Danald (shad looking) and the flashy OG Blue for those bright sunny days.
  17. Okay, you all in Florida may have some monster bass that we Northerner's don't have but we also don't have to put up with this either...https://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/florida-fisherman-chased-11-foot-alligator-everglades. I'm satisfied with our 4 - 8lbers where the most we get chased by are mosquitos and black flies .
  18. Yup I have some of the small ones of these too. I like to have a couple of different brands/kinds/sizes as they usually all have subtle to sometimes great differences.
  19. I love frog fishing too and always fall for a new frog lure...I ordered 4 of them, Dusk, Boneyard, Bullfrog and Bluegill. I got them and they look great, very nice color schemes and those Owner red frog hooks are sticky sharp. Can't wait for froggin' season to start!!!
  20. I ended up getting 6 of them, 3 in the 60 size (Ghost Bluegill, Ghost White and OG Blue) and 3 in the 70 size (MF Frog, Danald and Maverick). They look well made and I like the colors...hopefully the bass will too .
  21. I've seen this lure called the Spitfire by Headbanger lures advertised on Facebook and I wondered if it's legit or another Facebook gimmick? It's a segmented top water lure with like a scatter lip on the front sort of like the lip on a jitterbug only extended out in front of the bait. Of course they have all of the promo footage of guys catching giant bass on it but when you Google it there's really only a couple places that sell it and none of the big name retailors. On YouTube there's a couple non-Headbanger videos of guys testing it out but again...nobody you've ever heard of which makes me feel like this bait is more and more a Facebook gimmick designed to catch unwary fishermen, not fish!
  22. @Bluebasser86I know you must have some recommendations on this .
  23. What colors/size work best with the Bullet Pop? Does it stay in the strike zone well? Is it durable?
