  1. So, I already have 2 of the regular SLX...is the MGL a real step up in performance?
  2. Yup, seen it...just wanted somebody who actually owns one to chime in ?. How does it compare to the Curado K?
  3. Now that it's been out for a few months what do people who own them think about the SLX MGL?
  4. Watching that video it's just hilarious how the pros handled the news at first before they knew they were being pranked...they were ticked...lol.
  5. Look for a Daiwa Fuego CT, excellent reel that can be had on auction sites for about $75.
  6. Dirty Jigs makes quality stuff so I wouldn't hesitate!
  7. If you want more action it’s hard to beat a Rage Craw for a trailer.
  8. Just ordered 3 of them from Kittery Trading Post to try. Got 20% off plus free shipping because I’m a member ?.
  9. Has anyone tried these yet, if so how do they work? Is the rattle marketing hype or does it really make a difference?
  10. Well, I ended up with the new Tatula 300 (300HL to be precise). I found a cheap price of $224 online so I called Kittery Trading Post to see if they would match it which they did and not only that they gave me the 20% off for being a member so it brought the price down to $215.99. Now I wanted to pay using PayPal and for some reason there was a technical glitch that wouldn't allow it. I was on the phone with their customer service several times yesterday and even today...these guys (Russell and his supervisor Steven) really went above and beyond to help make this transaction work and we finally did and because we went through so much Steven knocked the price of the reel down to an even $200. Wow, Kittery Trading Post customer service is AWESOME!!!
  11. The site that we're not allowed to mention on here has the best color selection of Zoom products that I've ever seen before. If you search well enough you'll find them .
  12. It's basically all crap that hasn't been selling so they're trying to unload it any way possible IMO.
  13. I've found some good deals there but am hesitant to pull the trigger as I have never heard of them and when I click their About tab it's blank so I don't know where they're located.
  14. I’ve searched and I can’t find it for that. Closest I found was $245 and that’s coming from China which I’m skeptical to say the least.
  15. Trying to keep the cost at $200 so I'd really like a comparison of the two reels mentioned. Not trying to be a jerk or anything but on a budget. I'm sure the Tatula 300 and the Tranx are fantatstic reels but not in my price range unfortunately (plus as much as I like my Tatula's the t-wing system makes it very hard to use a braid to flouro/mono leader...the knots just don't like coming through). They do have a power knob option, wonder if that would be better?
  16. Which in your opinion is the better medium sized (think 3 - 4.5oz) swim bait reel? I’m leaning towards the Lexa because I like the externally adjustable brakes but man, Shimano is tough to beat! Your thoughts?
  17. If you want something buoyant that will last forever check out Zman Pro Crawz.
  18. My bad, they have a living rubber skirt but aren’t tungsten. Beast Coast has a lot of tungsten jigs!
  19. Bass Patrol jigs at TW are tungsten and cheap at $2.99 each. The only downside is color selection isn’t great with only about a half dozen but they do cover your basic black and green pumpkin.
  20. I just ordered 3 so we’ll see once all the hard water is gone ?. 6th Sense was completely sold out and just got them back in stock. They look fantastic. I’m a frog addict, couldn’t resist...I need help ?.
  21. My question is this...when has a bass (even a Biggun') ever attacked a beaver
  22. This one looks good... https://www.amazon.com/Piscifun-Gripper-Waterproof-Electronic-Stainless/dp/B07F753ZYY/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=piscifun+scale&qid=1615492708&sr=8-3
  23. I was perusing through tackle ad's and saw one for The General Maxscent from Berkley. I know these have been around for a couple of years at least and I wondered if they really work any better than a senko or a dinger or it's overhyped?
  24. Those types won't work from shore unless you're on a bridge or a steep overlook bank kind of scenario. I'd go with a telescoping pole kind like this... https://www.amazon.com/Frabill-9865-Lure-Retriever/dp/B003ZZ71B8/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=frabill%2Btelescoping%2Blure%2Bretriever&qid=1615325920&sr=8-1&th=1&psc=1
  25. Lew's Mach Speed Stick, 6'8", Medium power/Moderate Fast action. https://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/lew-s-mach-speed-stick-topwater-jerkbait-6-8-medium-casting-rod-mhtwjbr.html If you're fishing with treble hooks you'd benefit from a Moderate/Moderate Fast action that has a parabolic bend to keep the fish pinned so they can't head shake your lure off and also so you don't rip the treble hook out of their mouth on the hookset before they fully commit to gulping down your bait.
