  1. Thanks guys for the welcome.
  2. Zoom worms 90%of the time.Loved the old purple/candy purple color untill they discontinued it.Also like creme worms (used these for many years).Color to me depends on the water i am fishing but mostly purples or anything blue.I would rather throw frogs at the lilly pads though.Slowly drag them across the pads and pause in the gaps. Then hang on!
  3. I love fly fishing for bass.I use a cheap 5 wt rod and an old pflueger reel with WF floating line.I tie my own flies so its not very expensive to me.Sure there are times i could use a heavier rod and line but i make do just fine.My flies are usually the wooly bugger or a bass bug made of flipflop and spinner bait skirt.Mabey a deer hair frog.Half the fun is learning new ways to make the fly move and trying the new flies you just tied the night before.I can't fish 20ft deep with this setup but i can always resort to my baitcasters or spinning gear for this. Also a thrill to wade the local creeks and catch the smallmouth.I love it.
  4. I have the best luck fishing at dusk and dawn also.Early morning casting a popper or zara spook, buzzbait, spinnerbaits if water is choppy and shaky head rig with zoom worms.Nighttime i use same shakyhead or a texas rigged brush hog or lizard or 10" zoom worm.Fall and winter i use jigs more with trailers.Early and late i cast around the edges of the bank, especially if there is cover of any sort such as tree's fallen and sticking into the water, rocks or even brush piles.Look for any type of water source draining into your lake or pond.Fish around this area. Its a good source for bugs and insects getting washed into it.
  5. I fish alone most of the time but i enjoy fishing with others.I like the time alone because its peaceful but i enjoy sharing fishing ideas and learning from others as well.I have had friends tell me "hey i fish the same lure but here's how i do it" and sometimes its something i would have never thought of.Just can't get that fishing by yourself.
