Firing Pin Problem Weatherby Vangaurd/howa 1500
Sounds like you may have a weak firing pin spring.

Break Action 12 Gauge
People still use them and you should do just fine with it.You may miss a few ducks during the reload but as jeff said you will get faster with practice.I too still use a single shot break action for rabbits.I would have no problem using one for bird hunt's if it was all i had.

Also these 4 unopened rapala risto raps for $2 ea. and 10 Terminater quick skirts 3packs for .50 ea. I already opened a couple packs and used some of them this morning.

Striper Fishing Techniques?
If you are using artificial bait in freshwater try spinnerbaits with bright colors along the shore line early and a lot of times they will be out in the open water away from the shore line.Stripers like to go deep when the water is warmer. My local lake (Herrington lake) is over 100 ft deep in places and have a lot of verticle limestone walls. Most of the strippers are hybrid and are caught 30 ft or deeper so lures have to be heavy.A heavy white bucktail jig will also catch them.Slow retrieve or just use an up and down jigging action. In the spring before the water warms up you can catch them on the surface at night using crankbaits. Another local lake is lake cumberland and they have the monster stripers.Average striper is 20lb+.In that lake the favorite bait is large live gizzard shad 8-12" fished using a large slip sinker and barrel swivels with a hook..Some people use ballons or planer boards for floats but i have not tried this. The shad have to be kept in a round bait container with alot of oxygen or they will die quick.Lower the shad to the depth you want and let them swim. The larger stripers are usually below the smaller in the school so use several rods for a better chance. When you spot the stripers on the depth finder be sure and put a shad a few feet below that depth. When you catch one hang on tight!

Chatter Baits Vs Buzz Baits Vs Spinner Baits
I love the buzzbaits in the spring and spinnerbaits have always been one of my favorite baits.I can't say a lot about chatterbaits.I have not used them much.If i had to pick one it would be the spinnerbait.

Do You Remember Your First Spincast Reel?
My first spincast was a zebco 202 also then the 404.Both were a huge step up from a cane pole. Then i got a zebco 33 that i still have today. That old reel is like a tank. It's more than 40 yrs old and still works like it did when it was new.

Does Line Color Matter?
Sure i don't but if it's harder for me to see in the water don't you think it would have to be a little harder for the fish to detect?

Does Anyone Else Care About Aesthetics Of A Combo?
I'm one of those guy's that don't care.As long as it works great i'm fine with it.Having the colors match is not going to make the fish bite so it don't matter to me.Just like bigbill.....I fished with so much junk as a kid i'm just happy having something that works good.

Does Line Color Matter?
Some people use the thick braid with no leader and they catch fish. That's gotta appear like a rope tied to the lure from the fishes view but they still bite.Mono is not invisible and the fish must see it also but they don't seem to mind.As far as a color....maybe if its some really bright high visibility line i would think it might spook bass.Colors alone don't really seem to be a problem for me.I have fished the green, red and blue line and caught fish on all.I like my clear fluorocarbon line now because i like the invisibility.I use it most of the time unless i am fishing something top water.Even with the braided line i use a fluoro leader.I can't say that i am catching more than someone fishing with another type or color line though. It comes down to personal preference. Most people fish with whatever they feel comfortable using.

Who Here Sprays Scent Into Their Bags Of Plastics?
I use scents just because they may help me catch more fish.I have caught lots of bass using scents but i have also caught them without it.The way i look at it....We buy expensive lures because they MIGHT help us catch more fish. Why not use the scent if it Might also help catch more fish. You have nothing to loose but the money you would have spent on another lure anyway. If it will make that bass hang on for just a second longer then i'm for it.

Is This A Old Ac Plug
Yea i noticed there were no pins. The last one in the bottom pic (chartreuse) don't have the spot.I'm not sure what it is.This was just my guess. It still could be the arbogast.Yours could be an old wooden version and these may be the modern plastic version.Today they would probably use glue instead of pins.I could'nt find an ac plug pic to compare it too.

Tw Order Left Behind?!
I have to agree but they should not charge and guarantee delivery if they can't perform that incredible feat.I have had so many problems with UPS that i will never pay for overnight or 2 day delivery because i know for a fact they can't always do it.But that won't stop them from taking your money and saying "we'll get it there on time". And your'e right it is also a culture problem especially with young people.

Leaving Hooks In Soft Plastics Bag?
I have left the pork trailers on and they turn into uncle josh's hook protector. When they dry out it's too late to cut them off. I have had them rust the hooks also but it was a long time ago when plastic worms would melt all over the tackle box trays.Dang what a mess that was.

Rods With Broken Off Tips: Still Useable?
They can be fixed. If you just want the rods to work then buy you some tips and fix them. Its never going to be a great rod and never really was but it will still fish.I definitely would not cut it down to the second eye.

No Wikipedia For Fishing?
Thats a great site. Thanks for posting it.I remember alot of those ads.Its pretty cool to see some of the lures they used back in the day and how advanced they are now. Also neat seeing some of the lures that never really quite made it or got pushed out because of newer technology.Biggest change is the prices on some of them. One add had a trial offer-6 packs of worms for $5.We can hardly find 1 pack for that now. Some of the early crankbaits were just over $1 apiece.Glad someone thought to come up with this site.

Popper Colors
I have been doing a lot of bluegill fishing lately with a fly rod and i am mostly using an orange size 8 sneeky pete popper. The small bass have been attacking it so i am thinking about taking out the airbrush and painting one of my large popper lures orange and trying it with my bass gear. You never know till you try.

Small Bass?
Just throw anything in my tackle box. I catch more small bass on finesse worms like a 4 1/2 in zoom finesse worm on a shakey head hook and also inline spinners like rooster tails or mepps.
