Smallmouth?

Ordered some inexpensive supplies off Ebay and gave it a shot. The paint is my wife's nail polish (haha!) Nice to be able to throw (and lose) a jig that costs about a buck to make.

I've been having a heck of a time this year with the prespawn. I haven't really had the chance to hit the spots I usually enjoy fishing, but the ponds and rivers I have been able to fish haven't produced much. I've thrown everything from llipless cranks, chatterbaits, and suspeding jerkbaits, to 1/2 oz jigs , carolina rigged craws and weightless senkos. Almost no luck. Crazy frustrated this year, but still enjoying every outing.

Hello everyone. New member here from St Louis MO. Grew up fishing in the neighborhood pond across the street from my house as a kid. Now as a slightly older adult who still acts like a kid, I'm looking to get a little more serious about the sport. My parents just bought a place out at lake of the Ozarks, and I spend the majority of my free time in the summer on the water. Looking forward to learning a lot from all you knowledgeable people.
