  1. Two baits in one, buzzbait and a walking bait. Hence u don't actually walk it but it floats like a walking bait. So u can fish it like a buzzbait and then stop it and let it sit. Excellent bait IMO, I usually buy a white/bone, black and a natural colored one matching the forage in your lake. Unless your lake is always stained to muddy than ditch the natural colored one.
  2. So u only use them for flipping like me. I know people use them for other applications and that's what I was wondering. If I'm missing out on something. Like I know some guys use them with Roboworms on a dropshot. I just realized I put this under the wrong thread.
  3. Hey guys, the only straight shank hooks I have in my box are heavy flipping hooks. Can u guys tell me what baits u use em on and why, or the benefits of using one over an offset, ewg, owner twistlock ect? And are u using a snell knot? Thanks guys!
  4. Yea gonna mix it up w some rounds and low profile reels.
  5. I gave away all the ones I didn't want to keep already. Going through the rest of my plastics and was gonna put on ebay but that's stupid will put them on here in the FM.
  6. I have a bunch of those also, bought them cuz my local shop doesn't carry Grande. Haven't fished them much, well I have tons of plastics that have never even been opened. Including Berkley power works that are probably 20 yrs old, bad yea I know. I did give about 50 bags of them to my friends. Just always buying new plastics and I'm the idiot that thinks he needs every color.
  7. Kickerfish holeshot, Biospawn plasmatail, Havoc bottom hopper, Zoom trick or finesse, Grande baby rattlesnake, Roboworm. Any some others, I'm not a one or two or...bait guy lol. After reading this though I'm gonna try the Netbait, Damiki and Sharpshooter.
  8. Recently moved to Tx and will be placing a TW order. And in that order is gonna be a bunch of sun protection gear as I currently own none. Wish a local store carried some as u never know how some companies sizes run, I'm between LG XL. I love all the camo stuff, HUK, Under Armor, Simms ect. A local ma and pa bait store by me has these awesome Lew's jerseys that are made for the sun, they have the Lew's emblem on them in black, shirt is silver w long sleeves. Very soft and light for only $25! Want to order a pair of the Simms sun gloves, not the guide series. Does anyone own these? How do they hold up and fit?
  9. Thanks for the link, definitely gonna pick up some of the camo stuff.
  10. Lol I'm just the opposite, I have searched the whole country for the green ones. So far I have purchased 14 of them. I sold the cpl blue ones I had. The green ones are starting to get some good money since being discontinued.
  11. The Met DC is gonna be a little heavy also. I was undecided also and just ordered the standard Mets. Ordered 5 to hold me over until the 16 Met LH comes out. But my question is where did you get the green NRX? Looks like u got the MH, what length did u get it in? Mine should all be here within this coming wk I can't wait.
  12. What DCales and iabass posted is exactly the info I was looking for. The regular and xl fit different sz rods different ways no matter the manufacturer recommendations. Depending on rod length u can have it come right down or close to the front grip or have it well above it. Well above is what I want so I can keep my lures on without the cover interfering with the lure.
  13. It's listed but in the reviews guys complain about the normal sz. for anything 7ft or over so wanted to get some opinions from guys on here.
  14. I use their different fluros and don't think you can beat there Reaction Fluro for reaction baits.
  15. Aaron Martin has a great youtube video on why he uses the Metanium 8.5's for everything and 7.2 for crankbaits. That's the way I'm going, made sense to me. Also like everything in life I think it personal preference and what works best for you.
  16. What sz. L or XL covers for 7'1" 7'5" 7'7" rods?
  17. That would be from TW since there TW brand. On TW site you can order right or left hand covers.
  18. Yea I have some others also but have to disagree that they r all the same or do the same.
  19. Placing TW order and need reel covers for 2013 Mentaniums and Aldebaran. Read a lot of good things about the TW covers in the reviews on TW. Not many reviews of Body Glove on TW. Or if u recommend another brand. Also need round covers for 15 Calcutta Conquest 201, thanks.
  20. What rod is that?
  21. Yea I meant orange not sure why I said yellow lol. Thanks guys I will just go with the Boca as they are an American co.
  22. Anyone have experience with Hedge-Hog air ceramic and the Boca orange seal ceramic abec7? Would I notice a difference between the 2?
  23. Man that is a sweet collection!
  24. Some great advice here. I commented earlier and wanted to come back and give another important pc of advice. BrianinMD touched on this, Angles! At home or wherever u practice casting u want to practice and practice your backhand cast until u r as proficient w it as your forward or strong arm cast. This will alow u to hit the backside or opposite side of targets as the boat goes by. This is so so important, I started in small club tournaments at the end of 2015. The guys I'm fishing w are not pros and more than half of them cant or are not confident enough to backhand cast and it leaves the door wide open for me. Obviously the pros are going to be able to do this but they will not always hit both or all sides of a target. That's where u need to pay attention and pick up the scraps, cuz one of those scraps could be a t-bone with a lot of meat left on it lol. Hope this helps.
