Braided line
I don't care for how stiff PP is and the noise it makes coming through guides. So far for me it's Daiwa Samurai, Sunline FX2 and Seaguar Smackdown. Gonna start trying others cuz that's just part of being a tackle junky/enthusiasts. There is some new stuff coming out at iCast. And want to try some of the high end Japanese made braids from YGK G-Soul. That being said u can get Smackdown for $35 bucks, can't go wrong w that especially since u can get a yr out of it.

Braided line
I come from the whole trout ultra light fly fishing game where it was all about as small as possible. But I believe 100% that it makes a difference and so do the better sticks in the club I fish tournaments in. I fish Lake Fork in Tx and these fish get hammered. A lot of the older guys say I rather use 12lb and possibly lose some fish than fish heavier lines and get less bites. I obviously fish a leader but a few months ago when I got my new rigs I wanted to fish high viz yellow to leader on my weightless rigs to line watch. Well I wasn't catchin anything w 5 to 7' leaders, went to green braid w leader and have been doing well. Even w that long leader in shallow water that high viz braid is coming past them first. Even the guides I talk to in Fork say fish as light as u can get away with. Yea it has cost me fish but it has also put me in the money. Finished 2nd 2 Thursday's ago. How do I fix this pic errrrrr!

Pro Sizzle vs Zara Spook
No way I would have a bait named that in my box, lol. I don't care what anything called if it catches fish. But I don't own any Pro Sizzles. Colors I always have in any topwater baits are bone/white, black as the water I fish can be stained and something w chartreuse in it. When it's clear something life like looking in shad and something ghost like a ghost bluegill or shad.

Top waters
These guys covered it, just want to say that I fish a very high pressured lake also. Lake Fork in Tx, and right now the morning topwater bite has fallen off. But a cpl months ago I was catching some good 5lbrs on the Yellow Magic popper. I love that bait, and all my big fish came while my popper was just sitting there. My one boater hooked into a giant, had to be 8lbs while his popper was just sitting also. Another tip esp when tournament fishing, I throw these on my Metanium XG since I don't work it very far so I can get it back to the boat faster and get it back out there.

lipless crankbaits
I use a snap until I find a color they like than after a cpl fish when I have to re tie I will till directly to the split ring on the bait.

New Daiwa Steez SV TWS
Anyone fishing one yet? I have always owned Shimano but have been wanting to pu a Steez, well this is the one. Daiwa did right on this one, thing looks awesome and can't wait to grab a cpl. So like I said in the beginning is anyone fishing one?

Thoughts on Spro bronzeye shad
Mine sank from the time I purchased them also. So I haven't fished it but once and wasn't able to walk it obviously. Guess I will have to break them out and glue em up. I take it u glue/epoxy it where the hooks enter the body?

Hard vs Soft lures
I definitely fish more soft baits but man those hard baits sure do catch me at the tackle shops lol.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I sealed the cork on all my new NRX rods before using them and so glad I did. Definitely something I will continue to do with new rods in the future.

2016 ICAST Leaks/Wish List
I think we're gonna see a new GLX from Loomis. And can only hope for a new NRX version with a new handle, Torzite tangle free guides and a different color guide wrap.

STATE OF CONFUSION
Atta boy, now your talkin. And yes like the other guys mentioned the more sensitive rod u can afford will help u detect more bites, what kind of structure your fishing ect. And when you get that nice rod you will like it so much that it will inspire u to fish more, concentrate more on what your doing and give u more confidence. In all just get more into what has for a lot of us become a life long addiction. I've never owned any of the rods u mentioned but I'm sure these guys can help u out. I'm sure u can't go wrong with the Dobyns though. Enjoy man, and welcome to the cult lol.

Best Fluorocarbon Line
Yea Tatsu is the best in my opinion also, but unless your doin something wrong the Sunline Sniper is fine. For a leader it doesn't matter.
-
Line for pitching/flipping
50 or 55lb Samurai, FX2 or Smackdown and 20lb Sniper fluro leader.

Top water treble upgrade?
I own the Owner Stingers, Mustad Grip Pins and the Aaron Martin Gammys. I think I'm gonna mostly just be using the Gammys. And like the pros I usually always go up 1 sz but if it's a topwater bait I check to make sure it doesn't affect how it sits on the water first.

New 2016 Stradic Ci4 Plus?
It sure is! Come on iCast 16

What are you catching em on?(post pic
Who's jig head is that and what sz is it? Thanks

Replacing Trebles On Popmax & W Plopper
Yea that's true, but u still need to keep them pinned once u have em and that's what a good wide gap treble or going up in sz cuz u went with a short shank will help do. Already changed them as I'm fishing tomorrow am, stayed w a 4 but put Mustad grip pins on.

Replacing Trebles On Popmax & W Plopper
Do you guys change the hooks on the Megabass Popmax? If not for lack of quality then sz? I'm guessing they are sz 4 and W Plopper changing for better hook also looks like a sz 4, u guys go short shank and up to a 2 on either of these plugs or is that too big? Just change to a different #4 on the Plopper or? Thanks

Vicious Fishing Lines
Yea not a Vicious guy, Sunline FX2 and Seaguar Smackdown only for me. I do want to try some of the Power Pro Maxcuatro though.

NRX 852/843MBR
I recently picked up the 852C and it's an awesome rod with a great tip. Perfect for throwing the baits in the range u mentioned. And sensitivity, wow, off the charts. U know exactly what your in contact w on the bottom and the lightest bites are unmistakable.

Soft Plastic colors
It's hard to pick one since for me it's decided by water color and lake I'm fishing. But out of the colors listed I fish black/blue flake and watermelon red flake the most.

Baby brush hog vs. Rage craw
Two entirely different animals, but if I had to choose on a T-rig where I fish it would be the brush hog. But I own pleanty of rage craws and love em.

Bass Mafia Coffins
As long as they are as good as the Plano then I'm good w that. The comments made them seem like they were flimsy and cheap and not up to par w the Plano or Flambeau. Thanks guys.
