Will a 4-Blade Really Help?!
I have a Boston Whaler Outrage. The Revolution 4 prop replaced a Mirage 3. The four blade provides a lot more lift, planes out quicker, holds the boat on plane at slower speeds and is a wonder in aerated water such as riding the back of a swell through an inlet. I lost probably 3 plus MPH on top but the boat performs better everywhere else. It alos bites and holds better in aggressive turns and running in rough water.

What type of glue? i now it is CA but what type?

Tell me what you think
The Omega, my wife has one, it has a retrieve rate of slower than a snail. I think if you get her a 6:1 reel she will be fine. The force required to turn a higher ratio reel does go up with the speed. You may find her turning an 8 speed reel even slower than the Omega. They are no freebies.

Stripped screw hole on plastic lure.
The Vasoline is like a mold release. The idea being that just a tiny, very tiny film on the threads will allow the eye to be removed at a later date for replacement.

FF Lure 10 Kayak winter storage
I use the nylon sling type wall racks similar to these: https://www.amazon.com/Board-Heavy-Duty-Storage-COR-Racks/dp/B01KGX7XRI/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1505703754&sr=8-9&keywords=kayak+wall+racks I hang a 15 foot OK Scupper Pro TW (use for SCUBA) and my wife's 10 foot OK Tetra 10. I also hang an OK Scrambler (SCUBA) and the little 10 foot Emotion (fishing) in the photo usually is on the floor under them or sometimes on the sawhorses. Constant exposure to UV radiation is not good for the kayaks. The 303 Protectant (not Armorall) can help shield them from UV.

Downsides to Ned Rig What are yours
I use mono for Ned rigs thus far, including on my new spinning rig. I do not like that f stuff. I also have several BC reels and rods that do an adequate job of casting the typical Ned rigs. Two are very old early 80s Daiwa 50 size reels and my new Curado 70 seems decently capable as well.

Which Stradic for Avid X Rod?
Again, not only is the Ci4+ lighter overall but it performs better than the standard model. A noticeable difference exists with the force needed to start the rotor turning. The Ci4+ is noticeably easier to turn.

Tiny used outboard motor price...am I missing something?
A 3.5 may plane at 12 footer, a 5 likely will with two 170 pounders. Outboards are expensive and always have been. Ever seen the price on a 150? And, if well cared for they do not depreciate very much and if they are not well cared for you do not want it. We live in a two economy world, the China/Walmart economy where most items are made to some specification, maybe, with some fake brand name stamped on it, state supported, name your flavor. The other is the real economy of name brand quality goods manufactured in democracies and by employees trying to keep a living wage, Yamaha, Evinrude, Mercury or Shimano etc. by companies that are capitalistic and profit driven. A good name brand outboard is an investment in years of fun and pleasure if taken care of it can last a lifetime or more. I have my grandfathers Evinrude 3.5 manufactured in circa 1959 and it runs like a top.

FF Lure 10 Kayak winter storage
My four kayaks stay indoors. I have a walkout basement and two hang from the wall and one goes under those two on the floor and another hides in my walkout basement shop. The high temps in a garage are not good for them. Here is my bass-yak: Set in on a couple of saw horses with noodles for padding. The noodles take the shape of the hull and support it evenly. Put the sawhorses at the 1/3 and 2/3 position. Do not leave weight in it.

Slower Gear Ratio = Better Bass Fishing
The 7+ is for flipping, pitching Texas rigging. The 6 speed is for everything and the less than 6 speed is for cranking spinner baits and swim baits and all that sort of thing. Right? How can you tire your arms with a 7 speed ratio on a Texas rig?

Downsides to Ned Rig What are yours
Me too, I think that is my downside as well. I hate spinning gear. I can throw them on my lightest BC but my new spinning outfit does throw the lightest ones better.

Braided line
I have a spool of Dacron braid from the 30s. I found it in my grandfather's stuff. It was still new. And it is still good. It has a multicolor pattern.

Are fish smart at all?
Yeah, but, you are a human being, not a bass. And your brain, even on it's worst day and even considering that you may not be a rocket scientist or may actually be one, nonetheless are about a zillion times smarter than a bass. I have not caught many bass on cheeseburgers but I have caught the same bass three times in an outing on the same lure. Well, actually my mate caught it the second time and then I caught it a third time.

Which Stradic for Avid X Rod?
The key words being "preference" and "feel" with my preference being the lightest rod and the lightest reel and this balance thing can fall where it may as I do not think it is of particular concern. With rods now being from 4.5 feet to 10 feet and grips of full construction or split of all differing lengths unless significant weight is added to the butt or to the reel or they start putting a cavity in the handle to add lead for balance it is a jabberwocky. The CI4+ is noticeably lighter than the standard model. I cannot imagine I would purchase a heavier reel to get a seven foot rod to balance vs a six. I just going to get the lightest reel I can afford as long as durability is equal, same with the rod.

Which Stradic for Avid X Rod?
Never owned a spinning rig before but I got the CI4+ 2500. It is noticeably lighter than the standard Stradic, which while nice, is not as nice as the CI4+. It is incredibly light and smooth. Mine is on a JC Falcon. I could care less about this fictional rod balance thing. The length, construction, grip all influence balance, where exactly should it balance, a six footer vs a seven?

Telling people off...
A neighbor boy was throwing rocks every day on my road, a neighbor three houses up the gravel road. He then threw a rock into the windshield of my Wrangler. Of course it ruined the windshield and bounced across the hood. While I am certain the kid did not mean to throw it at my Jeep the result is the same. I throw it in reverse and back up. The kid runs inside. I knock on the door and dad comes out all puffed up. I explain and point to the broken windshield and he shrugged, boys throw rocks. I, who run a dash cam, explained, daddies pay for windshields. We are not friends anymore, I got a new windshield out of him, works for me because I think the bunch have low IQ. I doubt throwing a few rocks in the water, as annoying as it is, would hurt the fish or the lake. But defacing an area or throwing trash, is not cool.

I think bass are on par with a flatworm. They can learn and then they forget what they learned shortly thereafter.

Baitcasters LH vs RH retreive
And I do not understand why it is thought that just because one is right handed and have/use a right hand reel that they must shift hands? What if they just cast left handed? If one can cast with either hand equally well and handle the rod equally well with either hand why does it matter which side they have the handle on? The handle has to be somewhere, why not on the right?
-
Baitcasters LH vs RH retreive
I think the left hand reel BC for right handed people must come from those who learned and always used spinning gear where that is the norm. The vast majority of BC reels have the handle on the right side, so much so that some reels are not available in all ratios for left handle, this because most people are right handed dominant. Kind of like I occasionally see bait caster people who have never used a spinner outfit holding it upside down to get the handle to the right (as if they did not know it can be switched). I am right handed and use a right hand BC reel, cast right or left, reel right handed. I only recently acquired a spinning outfit, having never used one or even held one until recently, it is also right handed, cast right or left, reel left handed. I cannot imagine why I would want a left handed bait caster? Why? I cast equally well with either hand. But I like the BC rod in my left hand and reel in with my right. If you can cast only with your left hand or only with your right hand, how would you cast to favor one side or use both hands to cast? I can cast, flip, pitch, with either hand equally well or both hands on and with either hand front. But when it comes to taking in the line with a BC, I reel with my right hand and with a spinner reel with my left and any other way feels very odd and wrong to me. In any case, cast and reel as you prefer. With a BC reel, make mine right handed.
