Lol!! Been there!

If I moved to a new lake, the first thing I would do is go get a big bag of fish feed from the local hardware or feed store.Throw out several handfuls to where you plan to fish every day.This will attract all the fish in the area and produce some great fishing opportunities.

I've got many but this one is one of the strangest.I was coming home one night around 10 or so.No traffic.I'm in a mellow mood, had been to church.I get to the last light before my house.One car in front of me.Nobody else around.The light turns green.Car doesn't move.I wait.Seconds go by.Car doesn't move.I don't honk.Finally,he starts going very slowly across the intersection. We barely make it through the light.I'm finally getting fed up, so I accelerate and try to pass on the right.He immediately blocks me on the right.I try to pass on the left- he blocks me on the left.I'm getting ticked off.He cuts suddenly back right so I see my chance and floor it.Then he cuts hard left so he's completely sideways and Im about to slam into his door.I lock them up and lay on the horn.I see him sitting there staring straight ahead My headlights were right on his face.Then he slowly turns full left and goes past me in the other direction.Never makes eye contact or said a word.I'm kind of shocked by the whole thing and couldn't speak.Then I decide to follow him,and maybe get his license number but he simply vanished in the few seconds it took me to turn around.Never have been able to figure it out.Drugs or alcohol related I reckon.

I do a lot of driving with my job in N.E Florida.I have had some of the most bizarre incidents while driving you can imagine.What's some of yours?

I fished it over 2 years ago with a member and it was terrible.We only caught 3 Dink's all day.He has another friend who caught more Dink's the same day.They both have gotten out of it now.According to them,the prices have gone up and the fishing has gone down.It was still a good experience. It looks so fishy .I tried nearly everything in my box with almost no fish or bites.There was almost nobody else fishing but us.One speck fisherman from Georgia had done well.They apparently are trying to figure out why the fishing has gone down so much.The water was probably the murkiest,silty water I've ever fished.And we got lost a few times in there(With an experienced member present)

Sorry,I keep remembering more stuff.One day When I was a teen,I caught around 20 bream and had them on a stringer in the water tied to a oar hole in the boat.As I was rowing off I saw the stringer come untied and all the fish sinking out of sight.I jumped in and walked around for awhile and couldn't find them.The water being only chest deep.So about a year or so later I snagged the stringer with 20 or so fish heads on it...My favorite one though I told on a different thread a couple months ago. My wife asked me what I wanted for fathers day one year and I told her a new baitcaster combo.She unexpectedly took the kids fishing one day and she hooked a baitcaster combo and gave it to me for father's day .True story.

Yeah its perfectly straight.I tried repositioning several times .It also keeps riding high on the surface.The fish that hit it were all just under the surface.It does seem like you have to go slower on the retrieve.

Probably 10-15 years for me.I still have a full box from the 80s!

It just seems like a small bait for a bigger hook.Also,I can't keep it from spinning .When it runs straight they kill it.But when it spins they don't touch it.

That's no worse than when we were trying to get back across lake George (2nd biggest lake in fl) with 3-5 foot seas.Had a big crack in the side of the boat after that one.

Purdy fish.Looks 6 pounds to me.

I got a bag of them today in green pumpkin /pearl.I had 7-8 blow-ups on it in app. 20 minutes.Caught only 2 of them.Was using a 3/0 wide gap hook.They were nailing it then letting go.Any suggestions? ..

I hope you do better than me .I struck out on new river .

I bet you were sore for a week after you caught that AJ!!

I was surf fishing and we had the beach all to ourselves and here comes 3 surfers and they could have gone anywhere else on the beach but they chose to surf directly in front of our lines.I had cast out and the dang surfer started padding out and somehow the rig got hung on his fin.I hollered but he couldn't hear me and kept going. it was a good fight but I couldn't gain any line on him and he was spooling all the line off.I jerked real hard and it came loose without hooking him.He didn't even know what happened but he sure found out when he got back to the beach.I'm laid back but I told him he needed to go anywhere else on the beach but there and he did.

That looks like the one I lost a few years ago!

Y'all are speaking a language I don't know .What is a hudd?

I was fishing under a bridge one time and heard a car stop above us.All of a sudden there was a huge splash in front of us from something landing in the water that sounded like 20 bowling balls hitting the water.We called the police and reported it to no avail.So I know how you feel!

Texting and driving will eventually result in an accident.One of our drivers was texting and looked up to see the girl in front of him stopped.He went for a voluntary off-road scenario to avoid an accident and mowed down some landscaping and turf grass before coming to a stop inches from a rubber company.Then he left the scene and drove on to our shop 1/4 mile away.He seemed surprised to see the police wanting to interview him the next day.Security cameras don't lie,ya know.Didnt seem too surprised when he was fired tho

Also caught a baby duck while bream fishing.My friend distracted mama while I got the hook out.I took the same friend bass fishing for the first time when we were teens and he thought he had a fish.When he set the hook it was very heavy and my friend was very excited as he pulled it in.His look of pure excitement turned to utter surprise then disappointment as a cowboy boot came to the surface.I hollered" cast out again quick, maybe you'll catch the other one"! Also snagged a trotline during a night tournament and thought I had the new world record there for awhile.....

When the line comes up when the fish is about to jump I lower the rod and sweep it in a motion away from the fish to keep the line tight.

I set a line out for catfish one night and went in the house for a couple hours.When I pulled up to check it started thrashing around and I thought it was a big gar.As I got it out of the water I realized it was a giant freshwater eel , or so I thought.Then I saw two little arms sticking out right below the gills and realized it was a 3 foot Florida siren.Sort of an eel with arms.I have a pic. on Facebook but can't access it right now.Also had a very heavy 7 foot gator eat a bream I had just caught.

I should have said that I catch a lot of bass on the retrieve using large senkos.I catch more with the 4 inch just casting out and letting it sink.And I never use any weight with them because they cast great and sink fast.

Most of my senko caught fish are caught by reeling in at a slow to moderate speed across the surface.

Glad you got a nice one before you're deployment.Because of you and others like you I live in a country that's free.I was able to go fishing today because of that fact.My prayers are with you. God bless!
