Nice afternoon at the lake.
Finally got back out today! Had to work this morning and do chores this afternoon but finished up around 5 and went out on the home lake. The trolling motor battery was dead, so I had to break out the oars.I ended up catching 10 .All on senkos.4,5 and 7 inch .I had found these old whitish colored senkos(7 inch) and caught a couple on it.Not a color I normally like but it did good for me.Most of the fish were caught while reeling in across or just under the surface.Lost a 6-7 pounder on a watermelon red zoom trick worm.It felt like I nailed him but he kind of had a strange angle on me and came off..I did get a 4.3 and a 3.13.And I won't have any trouble remembering where that big fish is.Its about 50 feet from where I caught my PB.!!

FP-13 report
O I've been there once.We drove down at night and spent the night in the car at the bait store.Bought a bunch of shiners first thing in the morning. We had gone maybe 4 miles and smoke coming out from the back.A bearing. So back to the bait store.Tried to fix it but couldn't with limited tools. So we waited until noon for someone to come fix it.Then we finally get on the water and fished hard for the rest of the day in stick marsh. One 4 pounder. We couldn't figure it out.My friend that was with me had caught several over 10 pounds the last time.We gave up and headed in.THEN we saw a sign saying the lake had been sprayed for weeds. It had totally shut the fish down.Well,almost.There was lots of trucks and trailers in the lot but they had all gone to farm 13!

Large mouth bass fishing
Have fished jax.area all my life.Fresh and salt.Currently working night and day, so I can't go until it lets up.My son and me have a boat but the motor needs some work before I can get back out.I live on a small lake in S.Jax so I mostly fish there with my tight schedule.By the way, a lot of my family is from S.E NC.

Whats the longest stretch of time with out catching one?
I can't remember ever being skunked but once in a while.Never Twice in a row or more.I guess you'd have to consider some kind of minimum time limit on it.I fish in the lake in my back yard and cast at least a little nearly every day and don't always catch one and I've gone a few times out there in a row and not caught anything but I'm only talking about a short time period.

Redesigning a tacklebox
Sounds like a good idea.I am not very organized but I've been fishing all my life.I often need something to put a few baits in if I'm pond fishing or going for a quick trip behind the house.I usually end up stuffing a few bags of plastics in my pockets which then get tangled up with keys, pocketknives etc.so I'm still looking for a better solution.Just got a new camo belt pack for hunting for Christmas.I may try that for awhile. But the biggest organizational problem I have is what to do with ACCESSORIES. ( knives, pliers, scales, sinkers,_hooks, sunglasses, etc.)I usually carry them in a small bucket but its a pain to lug around if you're bank fishing.Maybe a separate compartment set- up?

Is bed fishing ethical?
In my lifetime (55 years) Florida hasnt had any closed season on bass. And its probably the best state to catch a lunker bass. That may be too simplistic of a theory but there are so many places they can hide that there are plenty out there. And I don't think as many people bass fish as they used to.In the 80s you'd see bass boats being towed everywhere. Now Its somewhat uncommon to see one.At least around here.

Not like this!

Hey.I can't fish tournaments due to my schedule but I can get out for fun occasionally. I live on a 16 acre good bass lake so I mainly fish it for time and convenience sake.

Is bed fishing ethical?
Some of you sound like you think there's no sport in fishing beds.Sometimes they won't bite no matter what.Sometimes they will.Kind of like when you're not bed fishing. There's nothing wrong with catching and releasing the fish. The problem I have with it now is catching and keeping a bedding fish. And back in the day, most everyone kept them to eat, and catch and release was thought to be strange and even wasteful of time. Its all about perception and popular opinion. If our country keeps going the way it's going,we may be eating them again to stay alive!

Good bass pond in Orange Park Jacksonville?
I don't know about orange park, but I'd google all the westside parks and check them out.Several of them have stocked ponds.I've never fished them, cause I'm a south side boy, and there plenty of ponds over here.
