Helmets *updated with pictures.
The first picture is my helmet, and 2nd picture is of me at top of an overlook. We climbed via bikes to that overlook. It was hardest climb I've done on bike.

Helmets *updated with pictures.
A couple guys invited me on a mountain biking trip at Tanasi on the bank of the Ocoee River. 18 miles into the trip I got thrown off the bike at a high speed, went over the bar and slammed on the ground and knocked my head onto ground. It put two dents in my 80.00 helmet. Helmet can save your life if you got kids that wants to ride bikes. I got sprained shoulder, bruised hipbone, and some nice cuts and scrapes. (Do chicks still dig scars these days?) I manage to ride 40 miles total. After the crash, we went back to camp site to medicate me and all that crap and next day I felt somewhat okay, and halfway through days ride my shoulder pain escalated and after the 40th mile I made it back to camp and pack it up went home. lol. I cannot move my shoulder in circular motion, but I can move it enough to steer, but it hurts when I hit bumps. Ah well, I'm going to live thanks to my helmet. Picture of the helmet and some of the views will be posted soon, right now I want crawl into bed with ice pack on me.

World Cup
The commentator was talking during the game that called was off-side and claimed there was no off-side. No cards or fouls was giving out after the whistle blew. I was totally confused. Lol. All I saw was replay of Slovenia players hugging the U.S. players. Oh well at least we are in round of 16 so who cares. ;D

World Cup
I'm not soccer fan either, but I've been watching U.S. in World Cup because I got nothing better to do and my gosh that was pretty intense! I don't understand the off-side rules that disallowed two of our goals in last two games. I was jumping out of my seats at all of those shots bouncing off the posts and barely missing the goals, etc. Goodness gracious...

Who is TCU
I watched the Alabama and Clemson series. Now that was some poor pitching on Alabama part....I was disgust at pitching staff. I could have seen better pitching from a 11 year old at the local ball park..

Who is TCU
It's same college in which the football program got beat by Boise State. Yes, the same school that might have went to national title to play Alabama if Nebraska had won.

Any World Cup fans???
Maybe if there was a world cup football tournament (the American version with the pigskin) we would actually win few games.... : The American goalkeeper just completely froze on that 1st score....

what would you "do" with BP!
Cut them some slack, sir, they decided to waive the $75 million dollar cap set forth by the government. (I'm sure they could have paid $75 million and walk away) The government actually had a cap set how much money a company is liable to pay for damage and BP decided to waive it and pay more plus compensate workers in oil-industry who cannot work due to 6 month drilling halt. BP decided to pay $20 billion dollars in damage plus $100 million dollars in compensation. Oh, and quit being so harsh on BP, none of the other oil companies has a better plan to stop the leak if it was their oil field that was leaking... Do you guys want to boycott them until they have a plan approved by us?
-
what would you "do" with BP!
That cannot possibly be paid by a single company..Just saying. I want to buy me a BP hat and apparel and do a sociology project. ;D Ah well, I got better things to worry about.

Would you allow it?
Not me. And if either one was killed in their attempt, their parents would be called to answer for allowing a child to risk his/her life in such a fashion. Parents putting children at risk is everyone's business. The county next to mine, 8 teens have been killed in a car accident in last 2 years. All of them went to same high school. We live with risk every single day. If it was my daughter and I knew what she was capable of I make my decision base on that. My dad taught me drive a boat, pull a boat, etc. He wouldn't let me take it by myself until I passed his test. Which I did.
-
Would you allow it?
Isn't this contradictory? She might be a kid, but if she understands the risks and is a very accomplish sailor then what does it matter if she 16 or 18? She can probably sail better than all of us on this forum.

I hope the stock becomes real cheap. ;D They will suffer a financial setback this year, but should be strong enough to survive and rebound back to normal operation. Anyhoo.

Sad Day For The Big XII
I don't know what to think of this. Breaking up conferences to form 4 major super conference. I think 12 teams should be the max per conference...

Oil Spill
In 2009, BP had 16.76 billion in profits on 246.14 billion in revenue. That's a profit percent of just 6.81%. So, if BP lowered their prices 7% then they would lose money. 7% of $3 is just 21 cents. So, they can't give you cheap gas. I don't think the calculations are quite that simple. It probably doesn't include the billions of gallons they are storing away either. They are still making billions this year, and at the same time lowballing fisherman with $5000 checks. People they have essentially put out of business are now having to work for BP just to make money. They (fisherman) are making less money than before, and I'm sure they are forced to sign "I won't sue you" contracts. Like I said before, we the tax payers will end up geting the bill, and BP will probably make record profits this year. Of course I don't want to pay $4 a gallon, but what's the difference if I pay it at the pump or in my taxes. It just makes me sick Doubt it.

Would the hydraulic line have to go down the ocean's depth? If so, would it freeze? Sorry, I can't quite picture what you're thinking in my head. ;D

Uh, the donation money would have came from rest of country. So, instead of donating money to gulf coast, they are just boycotting BP. I'm sure the entire gulf coast was stunned that people were quick to help Haiti than they was to help New Orleans and surrounding communities..

Bp Oil Spill Comment
edited: it's also the magnitude of comparing this spill to earthquake. The oil spill did not slam into the shores of gulf coast community and destroy homes. It only hurting the local economy. Which is my theory of why nobody helping them and only "boycotting" BP.

BP didn't own the well that blew up. Transocean did. I wonder why Transocean isn't getting the same publicity as BP is....
