  1. Well I better sell my steez then before the weak magnesium frame breaks. Do you have any recommendations for titanium or peek thermal plastic framed reels?
  2. I know! I saw them and was ready to order 3 of them, then I saw the 2 at the end of all the model numbers and was really bummed.
  3. I love the seats on the previous model legend elite spinning rods. I'm a huge fan of the 7'6" medium fast le spinning rods. I really wish St.Croix would make a 7'6" medium avid spinning rod!
  4. I don't think they ever had the one piece rods in the bargain room. Every time I checked they were all 2 piece. Tw never had them on sale either, they were just gone.
  5. I'm not a fan of the new reel seat on the spinning rods. I was waiting to pick up one of the older models on clearance but never saw them on sale anywhere online.
  6. I'd take a magnesium framed reel over a composite frame any day.
  7. Why on earth would anyone want a line counter on a reel used for bass fishing? Do you really believe that a reel manufacturer is going to add a line counter because of a recommendation of a website owner?
  8. I use the same thing. Sometimes I'll go over that with regular 33+ electrical tape.
  9. Nice! What kind of tape do you use? Sweet reel too. Those certates are awesome
  10. Yes absolutely! Most of my spinning rods have Tennessee handles. You'd be surprised how many people use Tennessee handles. Nothing gimmicky about them at all.
  11. Uhhh there's nothing gimmicky about a Tennessee handle on a spinning rod.
  12. Hagane... sorry i couldn't help myself
  13. Yes same thing but the shimano reels have numerous thin washers so you can add or remove some to get the line to lay even. Where did you find a metric tape measure? Lol
  14. The fj just feels smoother and more solid. I don't like the graphite top section of the spool on the new stradic at all. I'm not a fan of the knob on the new stradic either, just seems and looks cheap.
  15. Yes you need a thinner washer to replace that red one. What is that red washer made of? Is it plastic? It almost looks like a felt washer in that picture. I have a million extra spacer washers for spinning reels. If you give me the outside diameter and the hole diameter I would be happy to mail you some free of charge.
  16. I would look for a new stradic fj on clearance, I have one new stradic fk and I like my older fjs way better. Although If I were going buy a spinning reel in that price range of 200+ I would get another jdm daiwa luvias or spend a bit more and get another jdm certate.
  17. Yes they are trustworthy. I've ordered a few reels from them, took about a week.
  18. Pflueger trion or president! Supreme if you could find one on sale. For your price range I'd stick with pflueger, I'm not a fan of any shimano spinning reels under the stradic.
  19. No clue on the part numbers. I know the shimano washers I used were extras that came with one of my 2500 reels and they fit on my 35 size pflueger. It probably depends on what size reel you have, looks like yours is a small size president.
  20. The Pfleuger reels usually only have one thick white washer. I've removed them bofore and replaced them with a thinner one from a shimano reel.
  21. My favorite way to catch smallmouth is standing in waist deep current in a secluded river on a beautiful day when it's warm enough to wear a t shirt and cool enough to wear waders. At that point it doesn't even matter what I'm catching them on.
  22. It's probably all in my head but I just feel like I miss less fish using a moderate action with buzzbaits. I can really launch a buzzbait with a moderate action rod too.
  23. Go with the speed spool lfs! I had the first model laser reel and it had a ton of flex in the frame and the gears were rough after using it twice.
