Call me crazy but I prefer moderate action rods for buzzbaits. Never had a problem with getting a good hookset.

I don't think I've ever seen a reel that the pinion gear DOESN'T move when the spool is removed. Are you sure one of your spool bearings isn't missing? That's the only way I can visualize the spool moving up and down like you described. The spool rides on the spool bearings, you could remove the pinion gear completely and the spool still shouldn't move up and down like you're describing.

For 79 bucks you won't find a better reel! I like the paddle handles myself.

That's nonsense! The curado e and citica e had the same spool bearings. The curado e was much more than 19 more than the citica.

Just get a 2500 size shimano or daiwa and quit thinking about it. A larger dismeter spool does help wit casting distance and line management.

They aren't built with the same blanks, the blanks are just made with the same SClll material. They have different lengths and actions than the avids. The mojo blanks and rods are made in mexico while the avid blanks and rods are built in the usa. They are great rods for the price and I will buy more of them, but I'll also buy more avids.

Yeah in the e series like you said the curado had a bearing on the main shaft vs a bushing in the citica, and a different handle and spool etc. The new I series are identical minus the 3arb bearings in the citica. They both have the same number of bearings. The citica has 5 stainless steel bearings and the curado has 2 stainless steel bearings and 3 arb bearings according to the box. I've had both mine apart and couldn't tell where they arb bearings were at in the curado.

Yeah I'm pretty happy about it. I've got 2 of them already and will definitely be buying more. They're the same blanks they used for the rage rods without the crappy guides and handles.

I have both. Performance they are identical. Only difference is the 3 arb bearings in the curado. People will say the handle and drag star are different but side by side they are identical except the color. Spool Is identical except the color. I don't think the curado is worth paying any more for than the citica. There's a reason why shimano hasn't posted the schematics for the citica on their site yet.

It is against eBay rules. They take 10% of the shipping cost now (which is nonsense), so they aren't getting thier cut that way.

You don't have to do anything. If you were already charged 15 bucks for shipping you don't have to pay anymore. A seller can NOT leave negative feedback period! If he doesn't ship it ebay will refund your money but you have to wait so many days to file a claim and get your money back. I sell a ton of stuff on that site and if I made a mistake on shipping I would never ask for more money. If he shipped it already everything should be ok. He can't leave you bad feedback.

Check out the new mojo bass rods with sclll graphite. Same material as the avid blanks but they aren't made in the USA and are 80 bucks cheaper.
