  1. Awesome deal man. You have a lot of fun, and get great experience fixing it up. And when you land that first fish in it, it'll be golden. Keep us up to date with the progess. Wanna watch it grow!
  2. Minn Kota All Terrain 40 Foot Controlled My MK has developed the habit of slipping at the top of the shaft in the head. Just a little to much pressure on the pedal will cause it to slip, then you must baby it to get it to grab again. Upon investigation....I find that socket or shaft, one or the other is stripped. Apparently in this area... Under warranty, but apparently a very long line....Still works, but is getting worse. Anybody played this game?
  3. Senco's are getting for me too down here in FL. LR....you ever give a final verdict on what you thought of those swim'n senco's? Just wondering. Great work.....Keep it up sir!
  4. awesome thread.... I'd say craziest thing I ever did to retrieve a lure.... Was land the seagull who flew through the line as my uncle was casting. Even though the bird wasn't hook...he insisted on reeling the getting the bait back, even if it meant bringing in the bird. We netted the bird as it was snapping at me, my uncle, AND the rattle trap. Everyone made it out o.k. Not to be a debby downy on the issue, but make sure if you ever have to cut a line, you leave as little line as possible as to not harm any wildlife.
  5. wow dude....those member videos are SWEET! Thats cool you put that together for everyone. Keep up the good work. Now lets round up some members so I can get in the next one!!!
  6. Nice fish'n dude. And got the girl out there at night too.....She a winner!
  7. Just have everyone send you 1 pic. Then you can put a slide show at the end to take up the rest of the song. That was we all become movie stars! I got mine ready to send!!!! lol Can't wait to see...
  8. If thing makes it's way to florida....I'd like to take it fishing. Give it some Florida Bass mojo if it doesn't have any alread. Someone keeping a list?
  9. ;D Picture was taken by a guy standing on a dock.
  10. There is always big bass potential, if the right bass is making the right decisions. Though it sounds like the potential is slim with your descriptions. 6 feet at the deepest...that rules out going deep for bigg'ns. Is it spring fed? I'd guess the biggest fish will be in the thickest of cover in a predators disney land like that. Good luck!
  11. Thanks guys....Mines an eagle 165. Love it, and it holds up perfectly. I'm saving all that big motor stuff for when I know what I'm doing. First boat.
  12. Don't run where you see birds standing 8-)
  13. Thanks guys!... Thanks for the comments on the fish, pic, and boat. Oh, and my cleanliness! This is a really pretty creek, pic would be nicer without that bridge in the backround. I'll be going to an even cooler looking place over the next couple of weeks. I'll be sure to make some more post cards... Hopefully with hogs in them.
  14. This fish was so fun to catch. Went out for a few hours to get my fish'n fix, and got one nice bite. She was Bill "Dance'n" all over the place....was a real jumper, and without needing her for the tournament scales, was able to watch, enjoy, and lip over the side, photograph, and release. St. Johns River Thanks for looking...
  15. Don't be so concerned about it. Not everything a bass eats is super-stealth all the time Besides, you casting that thing into a brush pile or something? Doubt it, you just chucking and winding I'm sure. Fugetaboutit..............
  16. Man, remind me not to buy a used boat from that guy. Yikes! I do love that lauching method though....very efficient!
  17. Totally off limits. Believe me....I would stretching lines with them ALL DAY! This is in a spring called Silver Glenn Springs. It's off of Lake George (St. Johns River) in Ocala Florida. http://sjr.state.fl.us/programs/plan_monitor/gw_assess/springs/marion/silver_glen.html They hang out at the mouth of the spring taking in that COLD! water. Only way to beat the heat down here sometimes. There's largemouth all over the place too. But not stacked up like these guys. This is a picture of a few of hundreds you can chase around all day. Get down here and check these amazing bits of nature out!
  18. Disney does run the show, but that doesn't mean E.S.P.N. and B.A.S.S. get unlimited money to make bad decisions.
  19. I second the Blue Shad a great color (for NE Florida rivers and lakes anyway) Keithscatch turned me onto using red cranks and traps under cold conditions and have found it to be a thumbs up tactic. Hook-a-hog!
  20. I agree color is over-rated. Focus on the "hue" as these guys put it and your on the right track. If your expecting a fish to react to a particular color, your over complicating things....fish don't hit pink worms because the associate it with a pink worm that was tasty once before, they hit it because they SEE a WORM. For the most part! Good luck!
  21. Never been in the military, but something tells me you you be putting other considerations in front of fishing as you decide where you what them to shack you up. Just a thought....
  22. The only reason I joined B.A.S.S. was because I joined a B.A.S.S. federated club. Then the federation shake-up, my club went FLW. As did many. I see way more people tearing B.A.S.S. stickers off, than I see them getting applied. Looks like the Federation was right. B.A.S.S. didn't care about the grass roots, and it has and is biting them in the arse. Good luck B.A.S.S. You need us.
  23. Super awesome fish guys! Haven't hooked into one myself....but I swim with them all the time! Here's a pic I took of some stripers from another angle.
  24. I knew Bass Saturdays wouldn't last long. I know they still have some shows, but nothing like the introduced to start with. It was to good to be true, it made it what?....1 year?
