gotta love it when it barely tips over to the 6lbs mark and not 5.98 or something.
  2. yeah, yesterday i broke my week long skunk by catching this and on the way back home i noticed the big moon.
  3. whopper plopper 90. i actually caught one on my first cast, then later on i fished another location and again nabbed one on my first cast. After that i went mental and bought 2 130's and 2 double ploppers.
  4. imagine that, paying a little bit more for the knowledge of knowing that the person who created it has a good reputation from top to bottom.
  5. pressure smeshsure. Ive never believed in the term fishing pressure.
  6. Ive been liking the V&M Lightning blade. I wasnt thrilled at the Zmans hook sharpness. Plus, the V&M has a longer hook so its supposed to get less short strikes.
  7. I believe nobody that tells me their estimated weight on a bass when they dont have a scale. its the same thing when everyone says the one that got away was a monster. digital scales on amazon go for like $6. whats so hard to carry one in your pocket?
  8. i like how you described which swimbait you used and how big of a bass you caught it with..
  9. everyone who bank fishes always says, "man if i had a boat id rock this lake" but when time comes its never as easy as you thought. keep at it though eventually you'll figure things out.
  10. spinners and chatter baits in darker colors.
  11. Im currently using 1 bait casting set up for all the fishing. Im currently using 30lbs test braid and i will be getting new line soon. I usually use chatter/spinner baits, jigs, the 130 plopper and occasionally frogs when conditions call for it. would you go lighter or heavier test for these applications and why? thanks for reading.
  12. i use a Daiwa Ardito MH three piece rod. Its my first baitcasting rod so i cant comment on how it performs but i have no complaint and caught some decent fish on it. It comes with a nice carrying case.
  13. wow some interesting reads up in here by some obviously seasoned night time anglers and im very grateful for it. I was thinking of using the magdraft because there are stripers in some of the areas ive been targeting largemouths. i thought it might be interesting to toss it out and other lighter colored lures a few times at night and see how my luck goes.
  14. ive been night fishing lately and ive been doing okay using black lures like chatter baits and spinners. ive been wondering how many of you guys have been successful using light colored lures on a consistent basis. I have a mega bass magdraft that i was thinking about using at night but its a silver colored one.
  15. can i get anyones opinion on itrailer hooks or plastic trailers or even a combination of both?
  16. my suggestion is to look on google maps and look for blue things. that or try an app called fish brain which is like face book but for anglers in your local vicinity. it will show which bodies of water they caught them from and which lures they use. its helped me a lot. good luck.
  17. ive caught smallmouths on the 130 in loon.

im still curious on how to fish that kind of set up with a craw trailer properly. do you swim it steady with some pops and burning it or do you do that and also letting it sit on the ground and popping it up like a jig?
  19. inspired by this thread i decided to try out my single Colorado blade in black from walmart tonight.
  20. i bought a few a while back but never used them. then a few weeks ago i went on vacation and was gearing up. i packed everything and saw i had a walmart black spinner (double willow) sitting all lonely that i decided i wasnt going to bring. it looked all sad at me so i decided to sneak out at night and toss it around with wild abandon not caring if i lost it or not. next thing i know i was hooking up on some big bass and ive been a believer ever since.
  21. i rarely use stick baits anymore but when i do i either use a t-rigged if i want to do a painfully slow search for them. a wacky rigged stick bait for when i feel like targeting a specific area.
  22. in the back? not trying to blow up spots but i tried half halfheartedly very early in the year with no luck . are you referring to the spot before the entrance to fort mifflin or? btw im in south philly and i fish fdr and heinz with some moderate success
