  1. Fished in Six Mile yesterday morning until 10 A.M. We didn't get there right at daylight and I regret it, the shad spawn was in full swing. We managed to boat 10 fish between 2.5 and 4 pounds. We flipped grass and threw swimbaits for our bites.
  2. I’ll try to get some pictures of the transducer location after work. And I’ll also get some screenshots the next time I’m on the water (hopefully tomorrow)
  3. I’ll try playing with it in simulator mode! And yes I was moving at 4-6 mph when I took this. Thanks!
  4. But isn’t the frequency the whole point to clarity of a Humminbird? The Mega frequency is supposed to provide a clearer image
  5. Hey guys, just installed a Helix 10 SI MEGA today. Took it out and the water column is a little noisy. What did I do wrong? It’s this way even when the motor isn’t running. I’ve seen other screenshots and they were way clearer than this
  6. The North end of Toledo is starting to make a comeback. The Blue Lake area is producing both size and numbers lately. Jerkbaits produced results earlier this week in that area. I suspect the rise in water level following the rain we are receiving will push some fish back into the bushes in the coming weeks.
  7. Palo Gaucho is an excellent place to fish! You may check out some of the coves closer to the mouth of the creek, the water is usually a lot cleaner. Hines creek is also a good location to check out this time of year.
  8. I have a 2016 Triton 179TRX, and I love it. I can get mine up to 52 mph with my 115 Evinrude on a calm day. My home lake is Toledo Bend, which is huge. My boat handles it very well on most days. I also looked at a Nitro Z18 and the Triton just seemed more finished. The seats in a Triton are way nicer than a Nitro as well.
  9. Hello to all. I am in the process of selling my Tracker 165 and looking for a new fiberglass boat. I am really liking the Triton 179trx. Anybody have any experience with these boats?
  10. This is definitely useful information. However I need current figures as of this year, which I am finding out is almost impossible. I may move this project to a different product. Is there any other fishing related product that would be easier to find sales figures on? It has to be over $500 and I must be able to determine the current top 3 sellers.
  11. Hey guys, I am currently in college pursuing a business degree. I am currently working on a project for a class where I need to know the current best sellers for 17 and 18 foot aluminum bass boats, I know tracker claims the 175 is the best selling aluminum fishing boat, but where is this information coming from and where can I can my hands on it? Any help would be appreciated with this.
  12. Sam, I'll probably keep mine forever, use it when the waters down or when the fish are moved up shallow. I may step into something bigger next year or the year after, for right now my little tin can floats and fishes just fine.
  13. Yes Zwolle is in Sabine. Zwolle is too small for a football team as of right now, but the school is growing so maybe in the future we will, we have a killer basketball team year after year and have had a couple players move on to the college level. My Tracker definitely has its limitations on the big pond but it comes in handy in very shallow water. I'll keep everyone updated on my success and struggles. And I attend Northwestern State, proud to be a Demon! And no, I haven't gotten around to any crawfish yet, it's definitely on my to-do list. Thanks for the warm welcome!
  14. Hello to all, This forum is always interesting to read, so I thought I'd join the ranks! I'm a fairly new angler, my home lake is toledo bend, which I've lived 10 minutes from my whole life. This past summer I purchased my first boat, a 2013 Tracker Pro 160, and got addicted. I'm currently enrolled in college pursuing a bachelor's in Business Administration and afterwards a MBA. My strengths are treble hooked baits and jigs, weaknesses would have to be finesse and flipping and pitching. My PB is 6.10. I look forward to learning loads of new information on this site, which I already have!
  15. I have to say this thread and forum as a whole has helped me so much. I've lived close to toledo bend my whole life and just recently was able to purchase my own boat and really got into bass fishing, all this infornation helps me get better everyday. Anyways, went out this morning for a small club tournament and the first fish of the day for me was 6.10. Shortly after the steering cable in my trolling motor snapped and ruined what looked like a great day of fishing. Caught him on a chrome black back trap in about 8 ft.
