  1. How do my Bass Bros, handle that? (1) It cost, how much? (2) Do you really need that? (3) Really, you'll be gone, for how long? What do you think your name is KVD? And any other ones, you guys hear/fear, that, I'll be hearing in future? Having to thaw out !!!!!!!! UPS, can't get packages to me! Can you say, It only cost _____.? Flipping & Pitching in my Great room !!!!!! Cat, ran out, dog bites now, and kids have moved north to upstairs...... I think that, worked....
  2. kjfishman, Thank you for that. Why wouldn't, Tracker, install the weakest, cheapest components on their FLAGSHIP, TIN CAN Right!!!!!! First time, I put in water to break in the Mercury 90, 4-stroke. 1: Fuel gauge didn't work ! (took back to BPS) 2nd time the speedometer didn't work ! (took back to BPS) , didn't know that, BPS/Tracker, meant: KIA..... It's paid off, (weak wiring, electronics, batteries,TM, and etc.) Now, I hoping, I have a good hull and Mercury out-board? Question: Thoughts, on hull and Mercury 90 4-Stroke? Or is, that cheap crap also? Meant Design wise? I was thinking, of using the $40,000.00 I saved, by not buying 69K Phoenix or Basscat, to trick this " Tin Can " OUT!!!!! Because, after re-wiring, re-designing compartments to accommodate Hydro pumps, batteries, storage, I will be talking like a Pro, when I order my second boat that, BRAND NEW BASSCAT, That will only need "Beer" and fishing gear.../dynamite..... Thanks, for helping on my money pit....
  3. Gulfcaption, don't know? It's stock for BPS Mercury 90 4 stroke, I'll get with them on Monday, Service not open on weekends here in D.C. area. I'll post A.S.A.P. Thank you, Sir
  4. Gentlemen, Your willingness to share your knowledge is priceless, Like having Mechanic friends on speed dial. This learning curve, I knew was going to happen. (First Time, Everything). This site and all it's members have guided me to top end, quality components. Now, I'm making sure, all my up-grades will work, have longevity and will be safe. Now, I know why, Tracker was cheaper, low end everything.. Without calculator, I figured, (with the $40,000.00 I saved by NOT buying Phoenix) I could trick out, Tracker's flagship Pro 190 (biggest, they had in Aluminum). My way, with the best electronics, upgraded wiring, batteries, on-board chargers, shallow anchor system, the works. slonezp: Everything you have responded to / suggested, Can't tell you thanks enough!!!!! You and Hank Parker, w/ the two,HB Onix10ci Si units. After all that, I'll keep the final boat, forever. Hell, the only other up-grade would be changing 90hp to 115 hp... NOT Thanks, really appreciative of your honest direct opinions. I've talked to salesman, they want to sell stuff. KEEP FLIPPING & PITCHING, BABY!!!!!!!!!
  5. PRICLESS, The ones, I've seen run $500-550. Is that in the range? These performance prop shop common or easy to find locate? Do you guys ship to the ones, that are better then others? Tuning expense? ish... Thanks
  6. Thanks for your comments. Just broke-in. (20) hours..Top speed: 48 mph, with two passengers. memory? rpm @ plane 5200-5400. Maybe 5600 rpms.Tracker 190 hull. I'll look up specs. for max. rpm. Nephew mentioned if, hitting floating log/stump, when you have a SS prop, could rip lower unit off, v/s stock alloy prop just being damaged. Any thoughts? 3 blade or 4 blade? Would that be an item, I could buy and install myself? Or, Does the prop manufacturers custom make with right pitch, blades and hub connection for the MERCURY models? Thanks again,
  7. Would like to get second prop for boat, 2014 Mercury90, 4-stroke. (BOAT LENGTH) 18.7 Question; What performance prop to increase top end speed for that engine would be beat? Thinking of keeping stock alloy prop as spare.. ANY ADVICE ? Thanks in advance.
  8. New Tracker 190, 12v system, only has, one battery for tm now. upgrading tm to 24v, do I have the bump up wire gauge from front to back of boat? And if I do what gauge wire? Would that affect the warranty? If BPS mechanic, doesn't work? Thanks
  9. BIGGEST? The total space, between gas tank and hull has 2-3 inches extra. When you suggest the biggest battery are you referring to RC rating or actually width/length? I could get a bigger aluminum tray made to make it longer/length to accommodate bigger/longer battery, You talking like backhoe/Mack truck size? Thanks for you comments! really helpful.
  10. Liked the cork grips on St.Croix,s. Have some rods that, have rudder/synthetic. Question: I your opinion, Is there a way to improve the grip? What's a good wrap (manufacture, material) to put over that type of handle?
  11. Back ground; NEW,Tracker 2014 Tracker 190, Mercury90 Four-stroke. Boat haves, (1) CRANKING BATERY, (1)TROLLING BATTERY. Stock, 24's, 2-bank inboard charger, trolling motor 12v,45 thrust Just bought : Two,HB,Onix10ci Si w/FF&GPS (mounting front & Console). Going to buy: 80+ thrust TM, and some type of Shallow anchor system. Question/comment? I think, I need MORE...BATTERY POWER, any and all suggestions? Aluminum rack, that the batteries are mounted in, has room for (1) more. but side to side, it's tight. What type(manufacturer)and RC ratings and size ? Optium thought's?
  12. Great info, upchuck!!!! That was another thing, I was really trying to figure out, like the 3rd time out, learning lake and not using trolling motor, that much, drifting mostly, 10-12 hour out, 120 yds. short of ramp, dead meat, young man in dingy, towed me to dock.. Flagship of Tracker boat!!!! took it to BPS, upset, right!!! Service manager checked and said; Nothing wrong. I thought it was grounding out. Question: the battery tray (aluminum) that holds batteries, is tight, would the 27-29 RC rated batteries fit? and anything you could help would be greatly appreciated. Optima Batteries are what I'm thinking. WRB's post now really make me think??????? 2 Hummingbird,Onix10ci SI w/fishfinder&GPS, shallow water anchor, Trolling motor up-grade. I don't even know how to use or turn on live-well... lol forget a stereo system... Great stuff, gentlemen,
  13. Wow, see what you're saying.. Forgot, that I was in the rod, reel, and line forum. was jumping back and forth, between boat forum, and I thought that WRB, member had just replied to something I posted earlier, elsewhere. Like I was talking to someone in real time. New to this whole computer internet, Please forgive me, for barking.... that was rude! For that, I'm truly sorry. members: reason, EvanK and rippin-lips and all that reads this, Please except my apology! I have been all over ! Like a kid in candy shop, this site, my notes, learning typing, posting in multiple forums and having so many questions , in 3 days. Please excuse my confusion, and hope I didn't lose some cool members/friends.
  14. slonezp, After you posted the Onix 12's earlier, flipped me out, I had to check: I ordered the Hummingbird Onix10 ci SI with fishfinder and GPS. Do they make a 12? I know sounds like dumb question, but everything, I have read states, they get old like computer do, one or two years, even 6 months. Thought, I'd learn on those first, instead of re-learning for the little lowrance 3, that came from factory. Or was that, like the dynamite? hahaha, THANKS Sir.
  15. I have a Abu Garcia rod, PRMAXC701MH, 7',medium-heavy, 3/8-3/4oz., 10-20lb. 01F14BK, it came on combo, Frog Stick? It's the heavies, (small block Chevy) compared to the others, Quantum Escalade ESCS701M, 7', Medium, 8-14lb.1/4-3/4oz. paired with reel,ProMax7.1:1 ratio. (Plastic swim baits)? Quantum Escalade ESCS661M, 6'6", Medium, 6-12lb., 1/8-1/4oz.paired with Quantum Escalade 7.0:1. ratio (weightless soft plastics)? Not sure of taper action? on any of these.Got them at DICK's sporting goods, 1/2 price. Any advance would be appreciated.
  16. sounds like you did this before, Have you heard of the DIG-IN, push pole shallow water anchors? And would you know the highest thrust for a 24v battery set-up? Thanks, Love your Picture.....
  17. slonezp, That's, what I just ordered, (2) Hummingbird 12's, HANK PARKER SOLD ME ON THAT, one on console and one for front linked together. going to get kids to help sell the factory 45 thrust Mk, that came with it. and going to have talk, with boat mechanic to make sure, that there will be enough room under back deck, for up-grading 2-bank charger, to 3- bank charger, to at least get the 24v 80 or better thrust. Can you put power poles on Tracker 190? Didn't see a 12 ft. Talon on their site? All I will need after all that would be the dynamite, I was thinking, Tree removal company might use to blow out deep stumps? Really appreciate your take on my money pit... Ya got me on the dynamite, Now that's funny
  18. Good to know, maybe I have the curado, mine is gray. Thanks for your comments
  19. Didn't know, there were carp, members in here.. If, you don't have something nice to say, or and, PM, reason, Evan K, they troll forums with Mr. Advil himself, to share, "0"....but insults.. must be Doctors and Grammar teachers.. Seems medication maybe in order. lol I'm just saying, I'll PM the real people, like Glenn to get people like those guys, some professional help. WELCOME, Back at ya!!!!!!!
  20. Justbass11, This is between you and you. First: How much is he asking for it? Then, take-in all these members comments, they are invaluable. Second: Take it to a Boat shop you trust, have them check it out for you. You want an estimate! If they charge, pay for it. But demand a written Quote. (weak Deck, Hull stress cracks, wiring, etc. etc. etc.), Those are things you can not see, but are big money to fix, even, if your're good at repairing fiberglass. (Then, you can't say you didn't know, and lose a friend/co-worker) You will learn, a lot from that mechanic, also. Third: Ask this! Why are you selling it? Check out his other stuff, see how, he takes care of that. Fourth and finally: Boat means: Break out another Thousand! With all of that being said, Aluminum is lighter, more forgiving when you, hit anything, and although Bass Boat people refer to them as "Tin-Cans", You will still be in tournament... they are less expense, then most fiberglass ones. Wait until you here, I have already replaced this and re-done that, Man, it will make your head hurt.....I know, I lived it. I too never even fished from a boat. FYI. That's when, I when, to BPS, bought brand new one, they finance for like 10-12 years, have bumper-to-bumper warranty for like 5 years, and the payment was like $200.00 a month. Right? NO, BRAINER Then, you can either pay it off early (simple interest loan) or Trade it on Nitro, or used fiberglass boat they sell, from trade-ins, or consignment, or sell it online and lose a little bit of money. Lessons don't come free, you here horror stories all the time. Take all is with a grain of salt. KEEP FLIPPING & PITCHING, BABY !!!!!!!
  21. Sweet, reason, how do ya spell, ADDHTD, must of grabbed wrong bottle..... I fish everyday...somewhere, today I'm fishing for knowledge, hook me up.... My motto: I have nothing to do all day, and I usually, don't get half that done... You should try it. KEEP FLIPPING AND PITCHING, BABY !!!!!!!!!
  22. Thanks, Raul, That is, what most of the people, say on other sites. Don't scrimp on reel, when you're trying to learn, skipping docks and different techniques. The first bait casters I bought were 100-125 dollar range Combos. (only used Spinning reels before). Man, I couldn't even set them up, (bait-casters) and returned them. Man, I knew that they kept those in locked cabinets for some reason... Priceless feed back, Really Appreciate it...
  23. I would love to hear, your rod recommendation for that reel, I was going to have that "Delaware Tackle custom rod maker, make me one. I've had my wife make satin pillows for this one, at that price, lol. My first boat was going to be that Phoenix, 65k Bass Boat, they are high quality/through-out, even their trailers and re-sale value pretty good. Not to sure on, Tracker re-sale, but Tracker was only 25K, so, I thought I'd use the difference to equip Tracker with quality equipment, that I could use on Phoenix or BassCat second boat. Figured, if I didn't sink the Tracker 190, fiberglass boats would be O.K. They don't like new boat guys, plus man those thing fly on the water, Tracker only gets to around 48 mph. those things hit 60+, and insurance is crazy, on anything runs faster then 50. Sorry, Off topic. looking forward to hearing from you.
  24. I've been surfing this posting area, again, have not seen you, folks commenting on this reel, CHRONARCH CI4+150 Bait-caster Reel. Asked about set-ups and recommendations on rods and reels, that, I bought. Must of made guy mad because, he hasn't answered back after I re-posted the corrections, and apologized, for not knowing the symbol of Diawa, that was on the Ballistic EX 3000H, (missed place box) and I didn't know rod usage for MOJO BASS rod. (OFF TOPIC) Never did play well with others...lol Well, at the risk of making some one else mad, (THAT WAS NEVER MY INTENT). Did I just get suckered by salesman or is this a good reel for $265.00? I did get free 10lb. Trilene mono(green) spooled on it. FYI, BASS FISHING, paired it with the St.Croix, MOJO BASS MJC68MHF, 6'8", Medium-Heavy power, fast action, SC3 (I guess that refers to the graphite), 12-20lb., 3/8-1oz. I was thinking of using it for skipping docks, and flipping and pitching. Wondering, If this reel would be better used on different rod, was told MOJO BASS, one was frog rod? Got some really good detailed advice from cool members, but that post listed all my stuff in one post: PREFECT MATCH, maybe to much to fast, I'd just joined. Oh, To clarify, I'm not sure, if the letter after the Capital C, is a the letter i, or #1. What do you guys think? Any comments, I'd be grateful for, Thanks in advance
  25. Sweet!!! Nice set-up, Can't express, how much, I appreciate the decent folks, that I have interacted with directly on this web-site. Don't do computers at all. Kids set all this up for me, to keep me quite, during that winter blizzard, cabin fever. Wife and kids are getting worn out, hearing me talking, about, What I learned. Now, I get how to do this or do that, because Snakehead Whisperer, said this or WIguide recommended that, and you wouldn't believe what gulfcaptain said about electronics, 2 was better then one, Man I Live for this stuff, lol. All the knowledge members on this (band of brothers) web-site. Wife thought, I was doing some new video game or Sci-Fi movie.. Now, that's funny. I don't talk like that. I'll stop and just say, that's something, you don't find very often. Watched "all" the how to videos, that Glenn had several times, before I bought anything, and I got quality equipment, instead of some fishing poles. "Dang Boat" (AS MY WIFE SAYS) needs equipment, not just things, I couldn't even get or upgrade from factory, you know, like when, you order a car. Sir, I'd be glad to take you up on your offer on, DIG-IN or anything else you could teach this old dawg. As long as it wouldn't violate this sites rules. My newest bud, Snakehead Whisperer, showed me and another member how to PM on here, Would it be o.k.with you? posting thinks on internet? I tell my kids DON'T. Is this PM think cool to give out contact Info? KEEP FLIPPING & PITCHING,BABY !!!!!!!!
