Really Idiotic Question
When I fish a weightless senko I let it fall on slack line. I'll wait 5-10 seconds and slowly reel up the slack. If you feel weight that is moving set the hook. It's just an acquired feel to tell the difference between hung in the weeds and a fish has it. Even the most experienced of us will set the hook on weeds now and then.

school me on lipless crankbaits?
Keep in mind one knocker types of lipless cranks when you build your collection. There are just some days when that cadence is all they want. https://www.bassmaster.com/tips/selecting-right-lipless-crankbait

What happened to the Tackle Warehouse Sale?
I got a NRX during that Classic sale last year for about 40% off. That triggered my inner bait monkey that had been in recovery. It's been a downhill slide since last Classic weekend

L/C Flat CB MR
Dang. Now you got me thinking I need to get some of the DR's for summer fishing. Bait monkey go away!! If you can't find them online look up the phone # for the Field and Stream in Troy, Michigan. Maybe they would ship you some from the store. They didn't have a ton of colors though.

L/C Flat CB MR
I agree I totally see this being a spring bait out on St Clair. For $5 how can you go wrong getting a Lucky Craft right?! I think the packaging costs that much lol
-
L/C Flat CB MR
Field and Stream had some Lucky Craft lures on sale buy 3 get them for $5 each that included Bevy shad and Flat CB MR and DR. I was thinking about grabbing more of the flat sided crankbaits for that price. Anybody have any experience with them good or bad? Is it worth buying more for $5 each?

Seguar Red Label
Sorry I think I confused you for the original poster. I'll second that the Red Label is decent line and possibly the best bang for the buck.

Thoughts on Dobyns DX 762 vs 742
I haven't figured it out exactly yet but I'd imagine tubes, grubs, maybe finesse jigs, senkos, possibly drop shot and spybait. I know that's a lot to ask from 1 rod.

Thoughts on Dobyns DX 762 vs 742
First of all I know that Dobyns doesn't make the DX762S anymore. I acquired it during Black Friday sales in 2015. I've still never used it. I was considering biting the bullet and paying the upgrade fee for a 742 or 743. I find the 762 a bit whippy in the tip. It probably would make a good spybait or Ned rig rod but I wasn't sure that I wanted to limit a $350 rod to such few uses. Thoughts on the DX 742 or 743 spinning rod.

Which is more important? The rod or reel?
It's a legit question and I think if you asked 10 different people you'd get 5 different answers. I say the rod.

Seguar Red Label
If it works for you then you already knew the answer. I bought a big spool of 15 lb, it seems decent but as others have mentioned it's better with line conditioner.

Fellas,Help me with crankbait Rod
You can't go wrong with a Dobyns Fury 705cb either.

The latest sale thread
A good time for you to grab them at $5/each then.

The latest sale thread
Good to hear. They had pretty limited color choices.

The latest sale thread
The Field and Stream near me had certain Lucky Craft lures buy 3 or more $5/each. Really nothing that great (no Pointers or Gunfish) looks like mainly discontinued items an oversized lipless crank, bevy shads and Flat CBMR and CBDR. I picked up 3 of the Flat CBMR anybody have any experience with them? They have LC's beautiful craftmanship.

Chicken rig
Adjust it based on the location you fish. I could downsize it to their 5" worm. Just an example from the video. I thought it looked pretty sweet hence the share. 78 different ways to fish a senko you say? Post that up on this website or does Yamamoto have exclusive right to it?

Chicken rig
Based on the silly sentiments of this post us Yanks have had enough of the cold weather and are fixin' to get out on the soft water.

Chicken rig
Do you see a difference between the Neko rig and a wacky/Texas rig? The tails on the lures stand straight up which is more similar to a shaky head. And I'm very disappointed with the name IndianaFinesse you couldn't squeeze in another finesse technique

Chicken rig
I know I think these finesse type rigs are something to try when the fish aren't biting on your usual go to baits. It sure looks good though.

Chicken rig
I'd like to give this rig a shot. Anybody use it before that can give me any feedback? It looks like a good rig for when the bass are in isolated weed patches.
