$100 or Less Casting Rod?
I bought 2 Rages but sold them both. Didn't care for the handle. Abu Garcia Villain is $79.97 at Bass Pro right now.

Abu Garcia Villain rod
I got over to BPS today I picked up the last ML. After a gift card and credit card points it cost me less than $35.

Abu Garcia Villain rod
I just looked online, looks like you have to go in store for this deal.

Abu Garcia Villain rod
It sounds like a medium would make a nice medium heavy in this line of rods.

Abu Garcia Villain rod
I'm not sure if it's available online but definitely in the store at Bass Pro Shops.

Rod choice help. $150 range
Check out a Dobyns Fury for a casting rod. Very nice rod for $109. Also, I've found some Daiwa Tatula on sale online for around $100. BPS shop is advertising the Abu Garcia Villain for $79.97 this week normally $180.

Abu Garcia Villain rod
I got my Bass Pro Shops ad today. I see they have the Villian rods on sale from $180 down to $79.97. Any thoughts on these rods? Given the $100 price drop I'll assume it's a decent deal.

How many fishing poles should I own?
Just accumulate as many as you can over time. I don't own a boat but fish in a bass club and I own around 10-12 casting and spinning rods in various lengths and power.

1st NRX
Probably a Stradic FJ.
-
MH spinning rod
That's a pretty versatile rod. It can be used for soft plastics, tubes, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits.

1st NRX
Thanks. It's on backorder so I have to wait a bit longer. But looking forward to it showing up in the next week or so.

150-200 dollar casting rid
No problem. Hopefully, they still have something left in the size and power you want.
-
150-200 dollar casting rid
Smitty I even found them on sale at Walmart.com for just over $100 which is even a better deal. If I hadn't bought a dumb Zillion I probably would own a couple by now.

Filling out my Arsenal
Yah for your casting 8 slot you need something like Dobyns 735c in either the Fury or Champion line.
-
150-200 dollar casting rid
I think it is. Depends if the original poster thinks so. This is the same place I ordered an NRX from under $370.

Choices, choices, choices!
Agreed. Based on feel alone felt as good as my Avid X. Hopefully the Avid X will perform better with a fish attached. Definitely considering other Furys at that price point.

150-200 dollar casting rid
Questions like what is the best casting rod are really subjective. Most people have favorites based on brand loyalty. To me the best casting rod is one I got a good value rod at a discounted price. BTW you can get an IMX from Monster Fishing Tackle for around $200 with another $25 off after you sign up for their mailing list. That is a good deal.

1st NRX
Sounds like you have a NRX coming. I still haven't got mine yet. They were out at OPS so it will be coming from the factory. Other than a mangled first guide how does the GLX feel?

G. Loomis IMX 802C JWR or St. Croix TBC610MXF
Dude I get it. I bought 5 rods this offseason and constantly peruse the Internet for others. Just bring it back to all the shoes she owns. You'll defuse the situation

G. Loomis IMX 802C JWR or St. Croix TBC610MXF
You can always save it for another rod
