New Casting Rod recommendations for pitchin, c-rigs, etc
Avid X in your choice of size. Go play with one if you can.

falcon bucoo trap caster
I'm a fan of reading reviews. That rod gets great reviews on TW. It sounds pretty versatile and that it could do what you're asking. If I were you search the Internet and try to find a deal.

Daiwa Fuego spinning reel
I picked up a Daiwa Fuego 2500 spinning reel mainly because I wanted the Daiwa/Huk long sleeve t-shirt. I received it yesterday, initial opinions it feels real smooth no back play. The handle is a little different but overall nice reel. Anybody else have an opinion on it?

How does the GLX compare to a Dobyns Champion Extreme?

Anyone else do this when they can't fish?

St croix avid x vs st croix legend tournament bass
Spinning?? Baitcaster?? What would you mainly use it for? I got a 7' medium fast Avid X casting rod on Friday . I love the way it feels.

The Monkey got me
I haven't thrown it yet but I like the feel of it for $100. From what I read, it seems like people rate the Fury better than or equal to the Savvy.

new spinning rod for senkos
No problem. I don't mind doing research for people that don't mind buying online. There are some deals to be had. Of course that's why I have 5 new poles this offseason

Closest small mouth fishing to Florida
Yes not far from Detroit. But you could catch stringers like this. You just can't keep them in May. Catch and release then.

What type of Tatula reels did you order? I ordered 3 100's this offseason a 5, 6, 7 to 1. Hope they're good!!

Good point. I assumed casting but that may not be the case.

What about just the Tatula rod too? From the reviews I read after I bought the Zillion it had me questioning if the extra was worth it. Tatula gets solid reviews and can be had for around $100 on sale.

Closest small mouth fishing to Florida
It's not close by but if you ever get the chance come on up to Lake St Clair in mid to early May and you will have your fill of smallmouth and plan a return trip

Check out the Avid X though that is their new design. My 7' rod is 3.8 ounces.

Great reel for a St. Croix LTB MH spinning rod for fishing crankbaits.
IMHO way too much of a rod for crankbait fishing. Get yourself a cheap Mojo Bass rod in the right specs like a 7'medium moderate action and keep your LTB for your plastics.

St Croix 7' Avid X MH fast Daiwa Tatula 100 7 to 1 reel (Can be found for around $94 and free shipping on Ebay) That will put you right around $300.

How else can I use this rod?
Personally I like a 7'6" rod as my worm, tube, senko rod.

The Monkey got me
It's solid but I'm not sure it's worth the $210 I got it for on Ebay which is $50 less than retail. I need to fish with it to decide. Does the Dobyns Champion line have something that size that would work for you? Also on the St Croix website you could pick up a Rage casting rod for $89 in either 7'6" or 7'8" both MH but one is moderate and one is moderate fast. I don't know about that handle though.

Spend too much money, that's what I do

Still trying to figure out my favorite. It may be the Avid X. It's light as a feather!

Shimano Stradic FK: 1000 or 2500?
2500 would be more versatile in my opinion. I have 4 that size and do all that you mentioned.
