The Monkey got me
How do I insert pictures? I'm not tech savvy enough to figure this out. I was mistaken about one rod. The Rage is actually the Avid Neo which I got half off from the St Croix website. But I think it's basically the same as the Rage.

The Monkey got me
I've been really bad (or good depending on your perspective) this off season about ignoring the rod monkey in my head. He has talked me into buying the following: 1) 7'6" Dobyns Champion Extreme spinning medium light 2) 7' St Croix Avid X medium fast casting rod 3) 7'7" Daiwa Zillion crankbait rod 4) 7' Dobyns Fury 705CB medium 5) 7'3" St Croix rage medium spinning rod I know....I know...maybe 4 too many??? What's your favorite in the list?

What type of casting rod do you use for your Keitech Fat impact swimbaits?
I ended up buying an 7' Avid X medium fast casting rod. I plan to fish it in open water and not in heavy weeds so I assume this set up will be sufficient.

What type of casting rod do you use for your Keitech Fat impact swimbaits?
Just curious what rod length, action and power you all are using for your Keitech swimbaits? Thanks. To me it's seems like you would want a more moderate action rod to give the fish a few seconds to get the hook. Does that make sense?

new spinning rod for senkos
I like to research before I buy. Do an Internet search comparing St. Croix Avid to a Dobyns Champion.

new spinning rod for senkos
Keep in mind what you get for the warranty. $70 no questions replacement policy is worth alot in itself.

new spinning rod for senkos
I found a Dobyns Champion 6'8" medium fast for $204.99 and free shipping for you. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Dobyns-Champion-Series-683SF-Spinning-Fishing-Rod-/361035948773?_trkparms=aid%253D222007%2526algo%253DSIC.MBE%2526ao%253D1%2526asc%253D20150519202348%2526meid%253D136cb85d814446f89e506a72c9cdd61d%2526pid%253D100408%2526rk%253D8%2526rkt%253D15%2526sd%253D131282774552&_trksid=p2056116.c100408.m2460

New Spinning Rods
7' medium can be used for 1 & 2. Then anywhere from 6'10" to 7'3" medium heavy fast action for #3.

What's your go to set up when you need a kicker fish?
What's that comfort set up when the tournament is on the line? I want to hear your rod, reel, line and bait. Go!!

Preferences matching rod/reel/line setups to different types of lures
Wow that's very helpful. Thanks.

Iine and Reel for weighted flukes/soft plastic swim baits
I'd say 6.3 to 1 would be about right. 7 to 1 is probably too fast. I bought 3 new Tatula reels in various speeds with the intent of making my 6.3 to 1 for small swimbaits like the Keitechs.

Abu Veritas 2.0 winch
It says the 705 is for lipless cranks. I don't think it would be great for deep cranks. But don't take my word read the reviews on TW.

Drop shot- Braid to Swivel hook?
I've just never learned to tie line to line knots and I drop shot out on St Clair alot. I just use straight fluorocarbon 6-8 pound test. Works great!

Tubes
I'm just curious to know why.

Abu Veritas 2.0 winch
I just ordered a Dobyns Fury 705CB this offseason too. Looking forward to giving it a try. If you sign up for American legacy fishing newsletter you will get $25 off a purchase so the Fury can be had for less than $100. And look at the reviews the Fury gets.

Daiwa Zillion rods
What are the opinions of the Daiwa Zillion casting rods out there? I was kinda excited when I first got it but from of the other reviews it seems like the Tatula is comparable for alot less. Maybe I don't want to know because regretted purchases are always the worst. I'm just learning the in and outs of buying my fishing stuff online.
