  1. The LiveTarget, Bandit, and the megabass are in the cart. This concludes my 5 Lures. I'm looking forward to throwing them.
  2. Solid recommendations, but I have these in the tackle box. I'm solely looking for some lures new to me. I will say, the D bomb and the lucky craft cranks my some of my most successful lures. Ive never thrown their brand. Ill pick a nice bluegill pattern and throw it in the cart. 3 lures left to order.
  3. Oh, you can believe I have a couple of these in my arsenal.
  4. I Don't have an EverGreen Showerblow. That one looks sweet. Its been added to the cart. 4 More lures to go.
  5. I have some Cabela's gift cards that a burning a hole in my pocket. I am pretty well stocked on rods and reels and my regular supply of tackle. The first 5 lures that are mentioned that I do not currently have in my arsenal will be ordered. Lets keep it realistic here, please don't go recommending banjo minnows and roman made swim baits. Well, Get to it!
  6. I agree with the above post. It certainly isn't against the bass laws to have a couple of reels with the same ratio. With the exception to my cranking set ups, I believe all my other reels are 7.1:1.
  7. Caught my PB on a 7 Foot Loomis IMX JWR paired with an Abu Garcia Revo STX 7.1:1.
  8. Best colors for the muddy water will be your darker colors. Black and blues and dark greens. For clear water try to match the hatch. Go with a bluegill, perch, or shad pattern depending what baitfish resides where you're fishing. As far as trailers go, if I want some kicking action on there I'll attach a Keitech swing impact fat. If I don't want the kicking action I'll attach a zoom super fluke or rage caffeine shade. Best of luck!
  9. Dude, you have got to try some Cabin Creek Baits based out of Kentucky. Known for their tubes and worms.
  10. Check out the video glen just posted to YouTube. Perfect timing.
  11. Hook keeper because well.... That's what it's made for. Yes, you may end up with a minute scratch on the Rod every now and again, but it super convenient.
  12. I would say I fall into the $50ish a month category. As I am a recreational angler.
  13. My Loaner Set up is an Abu Garcia Black Max Combo. Nothing is more entertaining than watching a newbie try to cast a bait caster. ONLY KIDDING. If they are comfortable with a casting set up, I throw them a Black Ma Combo. If not, they get a Pflueger President Combo.
  14. Check out the cabelas RLS+. I just picked one of those up a couple of weeks ago as I am beginning to learn as well. They should have the weight of Rod you're looking for.
  15. Interesting. Thanks for the feedback!
  16. So pardon my ignorance on this subject, that's why I am asking you guys... Do bocca bearings make that big of a difference? Are they worth the money? And also, is it something I can install myself? Or is it something that requires professional installation?
  17. I'm not sure of the exact specifics. I'm sure it's the same as every update in a series of reel. Lighter. Stronger. Shinier. They just came out with a newer version of the Stradic ci4 this year. Hence why I said pre2016. I didn't want to mislead him into thinking he was getting this years "newer" model for 160.
  18. I'm sold. 842 it is. Thank you guys for the advice. Very much obliged.
  19. I'm ordering a G. Loomis spinning rod very, very soon .I've got it narrowed down to two and need a little assistance deciding. First, let me start by explaining what I will be using this rod for: Drop shots, weightless plastics, some ned rigs, finesse jigs and other finesse presentations that I cant throw on a bait caster. The two rods I am choosing between are as follows: E6X 822S DSR 6'10 XFast 3/16-1/2oz Mag Med 6-12lb test Split grip handle E6X 842S SJR 7'0 Fast 1/8-3.8oz Medium 6-12lb test Full cork grip
  20. Check out TRC rod covers. Veteran owned and operated, have built in tip protection, they float and theyre not overly expensive. I think for an extra .50 cents he can actually label the rod cover for you.
  21. Ca bel a's has some of the pre 2016 model stradics for $160. Any order over $99 should ship for free. Don't pay the new price for a used reel. Hope this helps.
  22. Robo Worm or Cabin Creek Finesse weenie
  23. Check out the seibert outdoors summer sale on their tungsten. Running 15% off currently. And they're a bass resource sponsor.
  24. Pm sent. Maybe we can work something out.
