Pa Meet Up - The Results
It was very nice to meet everyone yesterday. We will definitely have to do it again. I think that lake, given some time and effort, will kick out a big fish to someone in our group. Our boat experienced similar results to what everyone else saw. When we went back toward Aitch, we found some areas that are similar to what we normally fish (thick, nasty stuff). We would start at the edge of the massive weedbeds and let the constant wind blow us through. I ended up catching one that went 2.5 on a buzzbait. BK42 had a couple blowups on the Rage Shad, but they came unbuttoned. We both missed a few more fish with that pattern, hopping from cove to cove. Eventually, we got the stones to take the 9.9 across the big lake. We stopped at a little cove beside Nancy's and I caught a dink near a log with the jig. We then ventured to Trough Creek. I knew the bank cover was a little thicker there and the area looked great. We fished the entire stretch without any fish. We called it a day and loaded the boat up around 5pm (never give up, right?). Again, would be happy to meet up with any or all of you again. Perhaps we will catch some fish next time. Wayne

Devil's Hook, my jigg budy
You know they make things like that called buzzbaits, right?

Post a photo a day!
Many of my shots are straight out of the camera. These days, if I can't get it done in DPP or Adobe Camera Raw, then its not a good shot. And that's why your a photographer and I'm a photoshop-rapher I'm selling on that. Your comps are tight, have good basics down, now just learn how to do things in camera. You'd be a monster with off camera lighting. Get your arse down here to PA and give a camera tutorial some time. I'll show up.

I took the plunge... ordered a Matt Lures Hardgill & Tylures Gill
I've caught 10 inch bass on the Hardgill. It can be a numbers bait in the right situation. Good choices.

Post here if you are attending the Raystown trip on 9/25
We plan on leaving approximately 4:30 w/ arrival around 6. That should leave just enough time to get the stuff hooked up, rods into the boat and be fishing by sun up.

Pelletized deer feed
See, here is the deal. The specific area I am really interested in is a 7 acre homestead I have access to among national park land (no hunting). They have plenty to eat in the area currently, as the surrounding acreage is planted corn and soybean. The general feeding for horn growth is taken care of by the agricultural fields. I am looking for something to attract and hold deer in this specific area. So I guess I am looking for something that is appealing to the deer while offering them some added nutrition at the same time.

Cowboy fans???
Incorrect. That'd be a fantasy. Steelers

Pelletized deer feed
Right now, yes. I will likely go 75-25 at first and then 50-50 for the long term.

LET IT BE KNOWN THAT CATT WILL BE THE FIRST
No bashing at all. I like 1/2oz for casting purposes, especially in the wind. Windy conditions are one time when buzzbaits really shine for me.

Pelletized deer feed
Have been looking into the Purina Deer Chow line of supplemental feeding for some of the areas I hunt. I have seen good reviews of the product, while others recommend smaller mills for versatility. I would like to weigh the cost to benefit and see which one gives me more bang for the buck (pun intended). Any experienced feeders out there? What were your results? Wayne

In case some of you guys forgot (Sports)
Apparently he had completely given up on the skins. Imagine how low you have to get to become a Ravens Fan. I feel for that man. His life must be horrible. LCM, you beat me to finding a pic of the six. BTW, going to the Steelers game against Baltimore on 10/3. Pumped.

No problem. We will be in the green Tracker Jon boat. Just look for the muzzle blast and dying geese. ;D

crankbait info needed
Just thought of another one: Luhr Jensen Speed Trap for shallow weed and wood cranking.

crankbait info needed
Keith, I dont have specific brands in mind, but generalities that you can fit to your needs. Flat sided will have a tighter wiggle, fatter will swing wider. Square bills will come through cover better with more deflection off branches, etc. The RC Lucky's are awesome, the WEC cranks (second hand knowledge, I have none) are supposedly very high quality baits, SPRO Little Johns are nice as well. Someone with more specifics will eventually be along, I'm sure.

Good deal. Will note on the front page.

3rd times a charm! almost pb!
I agree. Perhaps even the exact opposite will work as well. Feed 'em a meal. Get a wake bait and go to town.

Not affiliated at all. Just some PA residents getting together to fish. So, you may chant, "This....is.....just a random gathering of folks fishing the same lake." Doesnt have quite the same ring to it... ;D
