  1. Tell ya what then.... Next time you finish a project at work and your boss tells you that you did a good job, make sure you say, "Yes sir, I sure raped that one!!" Take a pic of the look on his face and try and explain to him that he took it out of context.
  2. No harm, no foul fellas. Really just trying to give you a heads up, figuring it might sound a little more reasonable coming from someone who is relatively ( :) close to your age. Take it for what it's worth. As for the slang, it's typically "Wore them out" or "Load the boat" after we have left the lake. While on the lake, usually the response will be "A couple"
  3. Dude, Raped? Really? Grow up. I have heard this term used frequently. It is not used in the context you are thinking of. By definition it can also mean to plunder or pillage. It may not be the best choice depending on who you are speaking to, but amongst friends I do not see a problem with it. yeah i agree with walz. i think its also a regional thing. Like here in jersey we use it for a lot of things. Like "Them senkos are raping this lake" or "we just got done Hawg rapin" I understand your point, but it still is in very bad taste. Just understand that your words might be heard by someone who can easily misinterpret the meaning (or worse, someone who has had it happen to them or a loved one). Basically, you just dont know who is going to hear it. If the attitude is, "I dont really care who hears it," then prepare yourself for whatever you get back....
  4. Just let the fish tell you what they want. Buy them some flowers, maybe dinner and a movie. They will open up and tell you just what they want.
  5. I typically use lighter jigs (Booyah Baby Boo) and I prefer to throw them on 10 or 12lb 100% Berkley fluoro.
  6. Dude, Raped? Really? Grow up.
  7. I was gonna post that but figured it would get deleted as being insensitive. Good job Burley. From the details emerging, he died naked while being choked with a cord around his neck and his hands tied. Possible homicide or some sechs act gone wrong. Same thing that happened to INXS lead singer. Apparently, the hands and neck were not the only things bound with rope.... :-[
  8. Chris, I think it would be great to see you shooting some video. Set the hook, hit the record button and let us all see "the man" in action. That is a cool looking set-up.
  9. Tip 3: Resist the urge to, well, you know, "be the master of your own domain" to soon (just to see if the procedure worked). I did that a couple of days later and my blood pressure dropped and I passed out. Not a good thing to be lying in your bathroom floor with your pants down and .... You get the picture. That is one of the funniest things I have ever read on here. ;D
  10. I am going to throw you out of the boat next time.
  11. yeah so what? That's how mine was done. Glen, you did your own vasectomy? Props to you... ;D
  12. I figured a burley fella like yourself would jog home after.... ;D
  13. The thought of doing that to myself just made me gag ;D
  14. I read his Wake Bait article and I like that he gives information from first hand experience. Seen the fish he has caught, too.
  15. Oh, its still hush-hush.
  16. I like the "Darth Vader" faced one....Not a space monkey, but you'll see.
  17. I like the idea. How about Micro Machines?
  18. Ok fellas, help me out here. We all know fishing before an approaching front can be awesome and post front can be some difficult fishing. What determines pre front or post front in this scenario: Front comes through on Thursday and Friday, leaving just in time for the weekend. Forcasted weather shows no clouds and mostly sunny for the Saturday and Sunday fishing days. Monday, another front is coming through.... Are Saturday and Sunday post front conditions, or does the approaching Monday front make those days pre-frontal? I realize any time on the water is a good time to be fishing, but I am trying to figure out the weather portion of the fishing puzzle. Thanks, Wayne
  19. WRB, please expand on the anchoring technique you mentioned in your last post.
  20. Chris, that biologist wouldnt be Steve P would it? That guy really seems to know his stuff. I have never heard of a difference between lake and river fish either. Interesting...
  21. No doubt man. I tried to catch one for that exact purpose, but those little bastiches are fast. ;D Will be taking a minnow net with me next time. Thanks for the clarification fellas. Skink was the initial guess, but I am not good with that stuff.
  22. 19" Brook Trout caught on a Wooly Bugger
  23. Not a bass, dont have any of those. Here is a pic of a 25" Brown Trout caught on a dry fly (caddis) Disregard the swimbaits ;D
  24. Here are two of them biting each other, maybe mating time?
