Carrot Stix and when I have time making a custom rod out of an MHX Blanks.

I like 14 lb. Gamma Copolymer around rocks and 12 or 14 Gamma Flourocarbon around grass, the fluoro helps ripping it through grass.

To be more consistent and adapt faster to changing conditions.

KVD would be my choice because he is a smallmouth master.

The two speed reel seems interesting, I can see certain situations where it would be cool to have that option.
