  1. The STX is much more reel, for the same money. A no-brainer in my opinion. Falcon
  2. Beautiful baits!! Falcon
  3. Being a retired college professor, I think you know what my answer is. Go all the way, or don't go. Falcon
  4. First, my apologies for my tardiness. My spine hasn't been co-operating, and my trips are few. I got the DHC5-701CAMCB Medium Action/Moderate Taper for small crankbaits/small jerkbaits. I paired it with a Revo SX. After using the rod a few times, all I can say is WOW. These are my observations: 1-This is the lightest rod I've ever held. 2-The most sensitive crankbait rod I've ever used. 3-Quality components throughout. 4-Very well constructed rod. As light as the rod is, it has plenty of backbone. It can also sling a crankbait a mile. The first fish I caught with it was a 3# smallie. The Perfecta was up for the task, and handled it magnificently. This rod is by far the jewel of my arsenal. Prior to winning this rod, Pinnacle Rods were never considered, but now they will be at the top of my list. For the quality of this rod, the price is very competitive. Thanks, again to Pinnacle/Silstar, and Pinnacle 1 for the opportunity to win this fine stick. If anybody has any questions about this rod, PM me. I'll be glad to help. Falcon
  5. I don't fish soft plastics alot, but when I do, I use Megastrike. I feel it masks my scent, and the fish holds the bait a little longer. Falcon

  7. Everybody knows my answer!!! Falcon
  8. Normally September is a good month for me. This year has been VERY warm, and unless it cools down soon, the good fishing will be delayed. Last September I was getting five fish bags of 21-22 pounds. I had one four fish bag of 19 pounds. Fun times. Falcon
  9. Absolutely beautiful baits!!!! Falcon
  10. Nice story, and nice lure. It's very rewarding, to catch a fish on a bait you make. I remember catching my first fish on a crankbait I made. Falcon
  11. Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. Falcon
  12. Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. It's good to have another Michigan member. I was just in Howell last week, visiting family. Falcon

  16. I've had some success with a 4 1/2" Bass Magic soft swimbait. Falcon
  17. Not to worry Marc. I was already thinking of new Pinnacle reel for my new rod. I have two Deadbolt 35's that I've had for years, and served me well, but they'd look silly on that casting rod.LOL Falcon
  18. Congratulations to all the winners. I can't wait until I receive mine. Thanks again Marc. I can't wait to put my new Revo SX on mine, and sling some crankbaits. Falcon
  19. I've used Gamakatsu hooks for a few years, and I've had zero problems. I've looked at the Trokar hooks, and find it very difficult to pay three times as much as my Gammies. Falcon
  20. Absolutely beautiful baits!! Falcon
  21. I have never used a Red Shad Senko, however, I have ALOT of success with Red Shad ribbontail worms in my canal, where the water is somewhat stained. Out in the lake, where the water is very clear, I don't think I've ever caught a single fish on Red Shad. Falcon
  22. That's great customer service there. Another company with fantastic customer service is Bomber. Last year I had some Balsa B's that had the paint peeling off. When I contacted the company, they asked for a shipping address and, for my trouble they gave me two of each bait. Falcon
  23. When I'm fishing that depth, the first crank I reach for is the original Shad Rap. Falcon
  24. You beat me to it, Bobby. I was going to say exacty what you did. Falcon
  25. It doesn't matter what I fish on top, I get ALOT of misses. Falcon
