Anyone ever lose interest in fishing and have it come back?
I've been there. Gone through periods of time where it wasn't possible to fish. Fished a lot and then fell off. Hopefully it's not a sign of depression. . . sometimes losing interest in hobbies can be a sign. It was with me.

Minn Kota Fortrex Shaft Flex

Mercury 50 HP EFI CT anti freeze flush question
Hi Guys, I’ve been preparing my boat for winter as the temps drop. Today I attempted to use the winterizing antifreeze flush kit. Instructions say to fill with antifreeze, elevate and let it enter through muffs on the outboard water intake. I let the motor warm up while flushing with water through garden hose, no issues and strong stream. problem: connected antifreeze jug to muffs, open nozzle. Watch antifreeze flowing down the hose and to the muffs. Start outboard and antifreeze is flowing nicely out the prop area but never had a strong stream come (only dripping) prior to getting nervous about the no “pee flow” and shut the outboard off. using the mercury muffs that go through the center hold and clamp on. only about 2 gallons of antifreeze used. Is my outboard good now or have I not properly flushed it?

Submerged Outboard Questions
Considering buying a Mercury 8hp 4stroke outboard that took a dunk in salt water. Price just seems too good to pass on. motor was not running (per seller) at the time of the dunk (at a dock) where it was recovered immediately (on August 26th). It was salt water. looking at specs it doesn’t seem to be electric heavy. Im thinking flush it out, drain replace all fluids and go from there? $250 is the asking price. Sounds like they wrote it off with insurance. Motor is 2018.

Any tips on installing onboard charger?
I’ve thought about the bow, and plan on placing 2 batteries in the bow storage but the walls seem thin to bolt 23lbs to and then hope it holds up to waives and running the boat. Thoughts?

Any tips on installing onboard charger?
I would need to run a little longer lead but am not worried about it as I could route cables through factory drilled holes that were meant for rigging. I have a deck on my boat so to access the bilge I’d need to remove it and that would put the charger out of sight and not ventilated, both of which I’m not sure I like. I agree and if it was a single lead charger weighing 7lbs I’m sure it’d be no problem. The boat is set up from the factory for a 12v trolling motor. I’m planning on running a 24v and the extra bank will be for an accessory battery or to maintain the cranking battery. Could you snap some photos for me? I can pm you my number if it’s easier to text them, I still haven’t figured out how to post on here. Everyone wants something different and has a preference. Some boats have space in the rod lockers, my rod lockers are on the side of the boat and offer limited mounting solutions (blind install, cants use bolts- only screws, rivets or well nuts)

Any tips on installing onboard charger?
I’m considering installing a dual pro pro series 3 bank charger under my console on a Lund Rebel 1600 ss but am concerned it may be to heavy. It’s 23lbs. Not sure of the thickness Lund uses on their console and if washers and 1/4” bolts would be ok? Any input?

Fender hangers
Haven’t seen those straps or know how to use them, do you have a link?

Fender hangers
I’ve been doing that, along with my dock rope but the spacing could be better and I’d like to be able to do it quicker on days like yesterday when I’m waiting for a ramp and have to switch sides of everything because someone didn’t do any prep in the staging area.

Fender hangers
New boats doing good, almost done with the motor breakin and done a few fishing trips. Good to be back on the water again. I may give the Lund dealer a call... was really just looking to source online and not make a trip for it. Do you use the buttons? How do you like them?

Fender hangers
Looking for an efficient way to hang fenders. Anyone use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01DBXSGO4/ref=pd_aw_fbt_236_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=ZT7KWFECY09TB3D61TMQ#immersive-view_1534946303656 have a lund with a sport track, looking to capitalize on that versus drilling a bunch of holes.

Anchor Caddie (Anchor Line Bag)
Anyone use one of these: https://www.anchor-caddie.com/products/anchor-rope-bag?variant=444560749 or something similar? Don’t have a anchor line locker per se on my boat. Looking for ideas. I have it in a milk crate now. Also considering switching to the baby box anchor folks have mentioned on here from a Fortress FX-7 for ease of storage and not needing the chain.

Can someone recommend a good coupler trailer and hitch lock?
Looking for a way to secure my trailer while not hooked up to my truck as well as when hooked up at the boat ramp. Tried master lock brand and haven’t gotten 2 weeks out of the trailer one and the key is having to be forced in to unlock it.
