Trolling Motor only about 50%

Featured Replies

I have a Minn Kota Fortrex and recently is started working about half power for about the first 3-4 hours of the day and then would kick in to full power. The batteries were fully charged through the on board banks. Any thoughts on what the issue could be? Thanks.

Loose connections

36 volt system? Each battery is a seperate 12 volt power supply that should have it's own circuit breaker. The 3 batteries are wired in series, any of those connections, including the circuit breaker connection, could be faulty including the trolling motor connection.

Check, clean and re connect each connection.

Minn Kota doesn’t show a separate circuit breaker for each battery on my 80lb 24v fortex?

I recently took the prop off my Maxxum and the amount of crap wrapped around in there was ridiculous.  I intend to do it more often given the amount of junk built up in there.
