Any michigan guys here
I've been lucky enough to have gotten out a few times. It's just been really slow. Sub 40 water temps don't make for the greatest fishing.

U.P trip
Hey guys I'm looking for a campground in the UP not to far over the bridge near some inland lakes to take my grandpa on a fishing trip this summer. Ive lived in Michigan my whole life but never been to the UP so any input would be greatly appreciated. We would be camping in tents. So we're looking for a decent campground with showers. And any input on lakes would be appreciated as well. We will be fishing for gills and bass. And probably some pike

Fiberglass vs. Aluminum hull pros/cons
I don't know about that one. I paid that much for mine in way better condition. With a trolling motor and a 40 hp. But I'm in Michigan so I don't know if prices vary that much from here to there

Fiberglass vs. Aluminum hull pros/cons
Hard to say. But either way take them for a test run and see what one you like better and fits you better. I'm happy with my boat but I know others wouldn't be. To each their own

Fiberglass vs. Aluminum hull pros/cons
If it runs good and you think it's a good deal that's all that matters really. You are probably going to end up wanting to upgrade all the electronics and trolling motor on that though so you also have to take that into consideration

Fiberglass vs. Aluminum hull pros/cons
I bought my 1996 aluminum Starcraft starcaster 1600 this winter in your price range. The boat is in darn near perfect condition everything works well and it has a 40 horse merc that runs great pushes the boat at 32 mph (Gps) fully loaded with 2 people not the smoothest ride in the world but not horrible. And it's perfect for the lakes in my area! Keep looking and you can find some really good deals!

Casting deck question
I had 12 foot mod v aluminum boat the I built a deck on the front half. Made it as high as the benches. It worked well. Wasn't to unstable but takes a little getting used to. I loved it tho. Made fishing out of it much more enjoyable

Looking to buy an aluminum bass boat
The trackers aren't bad boats by any means. But I would definitely go with the ranger. They offer so much more

Anyone Having Early Season Trouble?
Yeah I've caught a few here and there around here but a couple were in 4 ft of water and the other was in 15 ft of water. I can not for the life of me establish a pattern. I don't even really know what to throw. I've tried everything from lipless cranks to senkos

Anyone Having Early Season Trouble?
I've been out 6 or 7 times and have only caught 3 small bass. Doesn't help that the water temps are still really cold here in Michigan. This is my first year every fishing this early and I'm also having a hard time finding them. Don't really know where to start!

Thursday night tournaments
Just curious what you guys think about me joining a local weekday tournament league with a boat that only has a 40 horse on it. It goes 32 mph fully loaded with 2 people. The biggest lake in this is about 700 acres the rest are closer to 300. Just wasn't sure if my boat would be acceptable.

New from southwest mi
Hey guys I'm not new to the site by any means just finally decided to become a member. I've been fishing pretty much my whole life. But really just started to get really into bass fishing within the last 2 years. I just bought my first "bass boat" this year. It's a 16 foot aluminum starcaster. I'm really enjoying it so far no major problems. Way better than my old 12 footer. And the 40 horse on it pushes me around pretty dang good. But anyways looking forward to learning a bunch
