Why So Many
This is like going golfing with one club. At least for me, they all have a different purpose. IMHO

Old Crankbait Patterns
Back in the old days, almost every major crankbait maker had a version of a "Coachdog" and a "Red Head". You just don't see them being offered anymore. I don't know why they shouldn't still be effective. Maybe if a guy was to paint up his own and "show 'em something different", he may get some surprising results.

Marketing/Hype vs Science/Common Sense
Yup, most of my rods are under 6' and most of my reels are 5.+/-:1.

Washington State fishing
I want to go fishing as bad as the next guy but thumbing your nose at the need for social distancing by participating in a mass demonstration is not helping the cause. The videos I've seen of the ramp was certainly not SD.

Lizards
No, these were ringed, 6" , came in 5 or 6 colors.

Lizards
I throw them all the time, t-rigged....year 'round. Favorites are 6" Power lizards in black, Twister lizards, both 4" and 6" in grape w/red flake, black w/ yellow dots. I also have a treasured supply of BPS spring lizards from long ago. My favorite is mean green.

"Stay Home" Dogs
Anybody try pruning their dogs yet? Mine's looking like a scruffy looking nerf herder. It's been 10 weeks since her last "day o' beauty" and who knows when the groomers are going to be allowed to re-open. ?

Lakemaster
The newest edition of Lakemaster Western States includes a HD mapping of Potholes. I've been asking for this for a while now and now it's there. Now if they would just let me go fishing I'd be a happy camper....or fisherman, whatever.

Washington State fishing
To make matters worse, the frogs in the ponds across the street all started croaking last night. That usually signals to me that it's time get a line wet. Alas, the governor says not yet, son. ?

Seeing ripples and what appear to be fish on the surface
I was crossing my favorite lake a couple of years ago when I spotted some "nervous water" and decided to check it out. I wheeled my Ranger around and headed toward the disturbance. BOOM....hopelessly stuck on a sandbar in the middle of the lake. Luckily, a walleye fisherman spotted me and pulled me off. "Nervous water" doesn't always mean fish....sometimes it's just shallow water wave action. ?

Washington State fishing
I can't think of a safer place to be.

Washington State fishing
State just closed all recreational fishing and shellfishing for 2 weeks. I know there are a couple of big tournament scheduled next month. Not sure how that will effect them.

Removing a backlash
Does that thumb pressure trick of clearing a backlash from a casting reel work with braid? Thanks

What's the difference between swim jig & chatterbait?
I believe "Chatterbait" is a brand name.

What lure did you catch your PB on?
After 60+ years of fishing I have to say I consider myself a worm/jig fisherman with spinnerbaits a close second. That being said, of the 10 or so bass I have managed to catch that were over 6 lbs.....every one was on a crankbait. I have no explanation for this.

One white cap and I'm gone!

Prespawn: squarebill, chatterbait, or spinnerbait -which do you prefer?
I like a spinnerbait in most cases. I like being able to "helicopter" it into holes and next to objects.

Retirement and fishing
The worst part is fighting your way thru rush hour traffic to get to the launch..........or you could just sleep in awhile longer. ?
