Just keep using them. If you go out, only bring spinnerbaits or cranks. If you keep using them, eventually you will catch fish on them. That in time eventually builds confidence in them. Which will make you fish it more catching you more fish.

A sweeping hook set is just what it sounds like. You sweep the rod left to right or right to left. It's easier to hook the fish. If you were to set the hook by yanking the rod straight up, all you are doing is lifting the weight. Usually it feels like a steady tug. I usually pull it about 3-4 feet, then stop. I keep repeating that.

I don't like messing with turtles at all. If I'm fishing a t-rig, I'll just cut the line above the hook. If it's an actual lure like a crankbait...well, it will all depend how much I like that lure.

McClelland can do it...but somethings telling me that Rook is going to take it.

A pop r. I can get hits on just about every other topwater, but this one is slacking.

I'm pretty sure all mono lines float. I can't think of any that don't.

For dropshotting, I would go no heavier than 8 pound.

Just t-rigging them with a steady retrieve.

I'd be fishing a spinnerbait and a black buzzbait by the trees.
