  1. Thanks for the input folks, in light of the positive responses and the lack of negatives, it looks like I'll be buying a 4200 in the near future.
  2. It's simple physics. The further you move a mass from the center line of the boat, the more unstable it will be.
  3. I am looking for a decent locator to use with an inflatable. (SeaEagle 9.) Does anyone have opinions about the Fishin' Buddy locators? I am particularly interested in the 4200, but all comments would be asppreciated.
  4. I am a newbie who is wanting to become an accomplished bass fisherman. The Bait Monkey recognized my weakness and has now firmly attached itself to my back. I now own four rods - up from only one three months ago. I know that I will have to go into re-hab pretty soon, but in the meantime, I would appreciate your input on the best method of rod storage when not in use. I am currently storing my rods in a horizontal position across three evenly spaced wall hooks, but I've got an uneasy feeling that this method is not a good long term solution. Obviosly, vertical storage would seem to be the perfect solution, as it would require much less horizontal space and would place the blanks under less tension and compression stress. My problem is that I've got plenty of wall space in my shop and really enjoy the look of the rods placed horizontally. Does anyone have any factual or anecdotal evidence that horisontal storage is deleterious to a rod? BTW, any Okies out there?
  5. Well, you could always take a metal hole-saw and drill many holes through the unsupported sections of the hull. This would greatly reduce the weight of the boat and the flotation chambers would keep it afloat - sorta. ;D
  6. You can buy a battery charger from Wal-Mart for about 30 bucks. In my opinion, owning and operating a trolling motor without having a battery charger is bordering on insanity.
