  1. Would it cost you $100 in gas to go pick it up and return home? If not, I'd say go for it.
  2. How do you think these stake out poles would work on a small 2man boat? mine pictured below. these are new to me but these are being used as an anchor, no?
  3. anyone use these StickIt Anchor Pins? I know someone has made something similar. Can anyone give a tutorial on how to make something similar?
  4. Here's my little guy. Had it since April. The list of mods I will do is a mile long! It gets me where I need to be. I caught my personal best out of this thing in June. I love it.
  5. Experience is worth more than your equipment. What I mean is, get out there and fish, don't worry about buying the most expensive rig. A bait caster would be a good thing to learn how to use. You can get the Abu Garcia Black Max rod and reel combo from walmart for around 80-90 dollars. It's certainly not the best rig but will be a good learning tool. It can certainly be used for all the applications you are wanting. I would also suggest to keep using the spinning rig as well for finesse approach like has already been mentioned. I always have a spinning rig with me and have caught two over 5# this year on it while 3 bait casters were sitting in the boat! I just prefer it for flipping lighter soft plastics. Enjoy!
  6. Found this today, not sure if it's been shared here or not. This is one of the cleanest little boats I've seen.....
  7. Great video! Did you silicone your transducer to trolling motor as well or is it solely attached with the meta clip? Did you silicone the oar clips on or use screws? Thanks for for the great ideas!
  8. I have the same setup only in green. I wish I had the outboard like you though. How does it run? As far as tackle bags, I just have a backpack with some plastic trays I take with me. Usually 4 rods max for me. Been meaning to add some rod straps to one of the sides to at least keep the rods off the ground. You will love that bass hound! I too can stand and flip easily with a partner standing as well. Enjoy
  9. I too have a trailer but find it very difficult to load onto the trailer like the big boys without an outboard. I have my trolling motor mounted on the bow. Only took me a once of forgetting to raise it as I rolled up on the trailer. Now I find myself just beaching it near the ramp and pulling it up on the trailer with a rope. Curious to know your loading procedure.
  10. Caught this at Purcell in June at about 1230 in the afternoon. my personal best thus far.
  11. I have the bashound 10.2 and I love it. There's nothing I don't like about it other than a couple things the original owner did like put a rod holder on and where he mounted the fish finder but that stuff can be changed.
  12. You might want to watch the bassmaster episode from Texoma. The elite guys were there for Bassfest. Might help you a little. Most of them were flipping flooded bushes.
  13. Where is Doc Hollis?
  14. I have the exide dual purpose 29 series and I've yet to run it completely out. I have a 28# thrust minnkota and also power a ff off of it. Longest trip has been 6 hrs off stop and go use. hope this maybe helps a little...
  15. Kinda slow at Purcell lake today. Just one crappie This kid had fun though...
  16. This was exactly what I was looking for! Much appreciated!
  17. Tell me everything yall know about trailer wheel bearings. I'm trying to inspect this trailer I got with my Bass Hound 10.2. Have no clue how to tell if the are good, bad, the wrong kind, etc. Thanks in advance.
  18. Looking for smaller lakes around McClain county I can put my 2 man on. I will definitely hit up Purcell. What about Wiley Post Memorial in Maysville? I see it has a boat ramp and fishing pier. Anyone fished it?
  19. There is an 89 page topic on these boats in here. Definitely worth the time.
  20. Is this more or less effective than having a separate rudder on the rear? I run my TM on the front.
